How to cancel Tovala

Cancel a Tovala meal plan in the app under Settings, Meal Plan, Delivery Settings, then Cancel deliveries — by the Wednesday 6 p.m. CT deadline the week before delivery. Contract / fees
Ovens bought at a discount from tovala.com carry a meal commitment: you agree to order 6 weeks of meals within the first 6 months of owning the oven. Tovala says that until the commitment is fulfilled you can skip individual weeks but cannot pause or cancel your account from the Tovala app. Exiting early means buying out the commitment - the buy-out amount named in the promotional terms at purchase, or, after the 100-day window, the difference between Tovala's MSRP oven price and the discounted price you paid - or returning the oven inside the 100-day window for a full refund. Ovens bought at full price or from retail partners such as Amazon or Costco carry no meal commitment.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

If you have no meal commitment (self-serve in the Tovala app)

  1. 1

Open the Tovala app and go into 'Settings'.

  2. 2

    Open 'Meal Plan'.

  3. 3

    Open 'Delivery Settings'.

  4. 4

    Choose to Cancel deliveries.

  5. 5

Make sure you do this by the usual weekly order deadline of Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT the week before the order is scheduled to be delivered.

  • Tovala says you can check your meal plan and commitment status in the Meal Plan section of the Settings tab in the Tovala app, or the Account tab at my.tovala.com.
  • Tovala's own example: if you cancel the morning after the order deadline, you will still get meals the next week and the cancellation takes effect the following week.
  • If you only want a break, Tovala documents skipping up to 5 weeks of menus at a time, or pausing for 4 to 8 weeks with a chosen return date.

If you bought a discounted oven with a meal commitment

  1. 1

Recognise that you cannot pause or cancel your account from the Tovala app until the commitment is fulfilled — you can only skip individual weeks.

  2. 2

Contact Tovala customer support (support@tovala.com, or the Submit a Request form in the Help Center) and say you want to buy out of your commitment.

  3. 3

Tovala will charge the credit card on file on your account to close the meal plan - it describes the buy-out as the amount indicated in the promotional terms when you bought the discounted oven, and, once the 100 days have passed, as the difference between its MSRP oven price and the discounted price you paid.

  4. 4

If you are still inside the 100-day oven return window, ask support to check instead: you can return the oven for a full refund and Tovala will cancel the meal plan.

  5. 5

Confirm with support that the meal plan is closed and no further weekly orders will process.

  • Tovala says a meal commitment means you bought the oven from tovala.com at a discounted price with the agreement to order 6 weeks of meals within the first 6 months of owning it.
  • If you purchased your oven at full price on tovala.com, or from a retail partner such as Amazon or Costco, Tovala says you do not have a meal commitment.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

You cancelled but meals arrived anyway.

Your cancellation landed after the Wednesday 6 p.m. CT deadline for that week's order. Tovala fulfils any processed order and applies the cancellation from the following week, and says it cannot cancel in-process meal orders.

The app will not show a Cancel option.

That usually means you are still inside a meal commitment from a discounted oven purchase. Check the Meal Plan section of Settings, or the Account tab at my.tovala.com, to see how many of the 6 orders remain, then contact support about a buy-out or an oven return if you are inside the 100 days.

You were charged for meals you never selected.

Tovala selects meals for you and charges your card if you do not skip or choose by the Wednesday 6 p.m. CT deadline. It suggests enrolling in text alerts and watching for its Monday reminder emails; you can also skip up to 5 weeks ahead at once.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Any processed orders are still fulfilled and delivered, and then all future meal deliveries stop.
  • Tovala removes you from its active customers list, deletes your meal plan settings, and stops contacting you about upcoming meals.
  • If you were not in a meal commitment, Tovala says there is no penalty for cancelling.
  • If you cancel before completing a meal commitment, Tovala says you may be charged the full price of the Tovala Smart Oven if it was discounted as part of your plan.
  • You keep the oven, and Tovala says you can sign up for a flexible, no-commitment meal plan again at any time in the Tovala App.

Refund notes

  • Tovala says it is not able to cancel in-process meal orders, because meals are prepared fresh and work starts immediately after the Wednesday 6 p.m. CT deadline. For extenuating circumstances you can email support@tovala.com, but Tovala says it cannot guarantee a cancellation.
  • Tovala offers a 100-day oven trial even while you are on a commitment: any time in the first 100 days, if you are unsatisfied with the oven or the meal program, you can return the oven for a full refund and Tovala will cancel the meal plan.
  • If the 100 days have passed and you want to leave without placing the 6 required orders, Tovala says you buy out of the commitment by paying the difference between its MSRP oven price and the discounted price you paid.

FAQ

Where do I cancel my Tovala meal plan?

In the Tovala app: go into 'Settings', then 'Meal Plan', then 'Delivery Settings', and choose to Cancel deliveries. Tovala documents the same screen for pausing. You can review your plan and commitment status there or in the Account tab at my.tovala.com.

What is the deadline to cancel Tovala before the next delivery?

Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT the week before the order is scheduled to be delivered. Tovala's own example: if you cancel the morning after the order deadline, you will still get meals the next week and the cancellation takes effect the following week.

Can I cancel Tovala while I'm in a meal commitment?

Not in the app. Tovala says that if you bought your oven with a promotional commitment to order 6 separate meal deliveries within 6 months, you can skip a week at any time but cannot pause or cancel until the commitment is fulfilled. You can buy out of it by contacting customer support, or return the oven within the 100-day window.

How much does it cost to buy out of a Tovala meal commitment?

Tovala describes the buy-out as paying the amount indicated in the promotional terms when you purchased the discounted oven; where the 100-day return window has passed it describes it as the difference between its MSRP oven price and the discounted price you paid. Contact customer support and they will charge the card on file to close the meal plan.

Can Tovala cancel a meal order that has already been processed?

No. Tovala says meals are prepared fresh and work begins immediately after the Wednesday 6 p.m. CT deadline, so it is not able to cancel in-process meal orders. For extenuating circumstances you can email support@tovala.com, but Tovala says it cannot guarantee it.

Should I pause Tovala instead of cancelling?

Pausing stops deliveries for 4 to 8 weeks with a chosen return date, and your subscription and preferences stay saved. Skipping opts you out of a specific week, up to 5 weeks at a time. Pausing is only available once a meal commitment is complete, or if you never had one; everyone can skip.
