Expect a retention offer

I cancelled but I'm still being charged for TNT Sports.

Check whether you cancelled the right line. HBO Max says your entertainment plan and your TNT Sports subscription can be billed by different parties, so ending one can leave the other running. Open HBOMax.com/subscription, read both lines, and cancel whichever is still active with whoever is named as its biller.

I deleted the app but the money is still going out.

Deleting the app never cancels a subscription — HBO Max states this directly. Go to HBOMax.com/subscription, find who bills you, and cancel there or with that provider. Then check for the confirmation email, which HBO Max says Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Roku and Samsung each send for their own billing routes.

I had TNT Sports on discovery+ and can't find it anywhere now.

HBO Max says TNT Sports bought before 26 March through discovery+, the Apple App Store, Google Play, BT/EE or O2 is now streamed on HBO Max, and that you sign in to HBO Max with your discovery+ email and password. Sign in there, open the subscription screen, and it will name whichever of those routes still bills you.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • HBO Max gives you an expiry date at the point you confirm, and says you can stream until your monthly subscription expires at the end of the billing period.
  • On a Saver plan, access continues to the end of the 12-month billing period and the remaining monthly instalments are still taken.
  • If a provider or app store billed you, that party sends the confirmation — HBO Max notes Amazon, Apple, Google Play, Roku and Samsung all email a cancellation confirmation.
  • Your HBO Max entertainment plan can survive a TNT Sports cancellation, and vice versa, because the two can be billed separately — check both lines on the subscription screen.
  • Your HBO Max account itself stays open, so an old discovery+ sign-in still works even after the sports plan ends.
