Cancel Shudder billed through the Apple App Store

On iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.

Select Shudder, choose Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page, then select Confirm.

On a computer: open the App Store signed in with your Apple ID and click your name in the bottom left corner, then click Account Settings at the top.

On the Account Information screen, scroll to the Manage section and select Manage to the right of Subscriptions.

Select Edit to the right of the Shudder subscription, choose Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page, then select Confirm.

If no Shudder subscription appears, check you are signed in with the correct Apple ID — Shudder notes that if you only have one Apple ID, it may mean you subscribed directly through Shudder instead. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.

Cancel Shudder billed through Google Play

Cancel the Shudder add-on channel inside Amazon Prime Video

Open Manage Your Prime Video Channels in the Prime Video subscription settings of your Amazon Prime account.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

Billing stops renewing and the subscription ends on the last day of the term you have already paid for.
Streaming access continues through the remainder of that paid period rather than ending the moment you cancel.
Shudder sends an email confirming the cancellation once you finish the on-screen prompts.
No refund or credit is issued for the unused part of the billing period, unless required by law.
If you pay through PayPal, the recurring PayPal payment keeps billing until you cancel it separately inside PayPal.
Cancelling during the one-time seven-day free trial before it expires means no charge, per AMC's Terms of Use.
Deleting the Shudder app from your device does not cancel anything — Shudder repeats this warning on every billing path.

Refund notes

AMC's Terms of Use, which govern Shudder, state that AMC does not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, partial subscription periods or unwatched content, unless required by law. Cancelling mid-cycle stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period. The Terms name limited statutory refund windows in some markets (Austria, the UK at 14 days, Brazil at 7 days). I pay for Shudder through PayPal — is cancelling on the Shudder website enough?

No. Shudder's guide adds a separate warning for website signups paid by PayPal: you must also log into your PayPal account and cancel the recurring payment to Shudder, or PayPal keeps billing you. This is the step most often missed when cancelling Shudder.
