How to Cancel Amazon Prime Video Channels
Cancel a Prime Video Channel on the Prime Video website: sign in, open Account & Settings, go to Channels (or Amazon's Memberships & Subscriptions), select the channel, and choose Cancel Channel. Access continues until your paid period ends. Channels you added through Apple, Google, Roku, or a TV provider must be canceled with that provider instead.
First, confirm who is actually billing you
Prime Video Channels are paid add-on subscriptions — such as STARZ, MGM+, Paramount+, Max, or AMC+ — that layer on top of your Amazon or Prime Video account. Each channel is billed separately, and canceling one does not touch your Amazon Prime membership or any other channel. It also does not close your Amazon account.
Before you cancel, identify who charges your card, because that determines where the cancellation happens. If you subscribed to the channel directly through Amazon or the Prime Video website, you cancel through Amazon. If you added that same channel through Apple, Google Play, Roku, or a cable or mobile provider, Amazon cannot stop the billing — you must cancel with whoever collects the payment.
Not sure which applies? Check where you originally signed up and look at the merchant name on your card or bank statement. Channels billed by Amazon appear in your Amazon account under Prime Video Channels (also shown in Memberships & Subscriptions). If the channel is not listed there, it was almost certainly added through a third party.
Cancel on the Prime Video website (desktop browser)
Amazon-billed channels are managed from a web browser. Go to primevideo.com or amazon.com and sign in with the account that holds the subscription. On Prime Video, select your profile or name in the top-right corner, choose Account & Settings, then open the Channels tab. Amazon also links directly to this list from a page titled Manage Your Prime Video Channels.
Find the channel you want to end and select Cancel Channel, then confirm on the pop-up that appears. Read the confirmation screen carefully — it shows the date your access ends and, in some cases, offers a self-service refund. If you accept a refund offer, the cancellation takes effect immediately.
You can reach the same controls from the Amazon side: go to Accounts & Lists, open Memberships & Subscriptions, locate the Prime Video Channel, and select Manage or Cancel Channel. Whichever path you use, keep the confirmation screen or a screenshot showing the subscription is canceled and the end date.
Why the mobile app sends you to a browser
The Prime Video mobile app does not let you cancel Amazon-billed channels directly. If you open the app and look for a cancel option, you will generally be pointed to a web browser to finish the process.
On a phone or tablet, open a browser (not the app), go to primevideo.com, sign in, and follow the same Account & Settings → Channels steps described above. This applies whether you use iOS or Android. The one exception is a channel you originally subscribed to through the App Store or Google Play — that is a third-party charge, covered below.
What happens after you cancel
Canceling stops the next charge, but it usually does not end your access right away. Unless you accept a self-service refund, you keep watching that channel's content through the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that date, both access and future charges stop.
Because access continues until the period ends, you can typically reverse a cancellation any time before that date if you change your mind. Amazon generally does not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a monthly or annual channel term unless a refund is specifically offered on the cancellation screen, so there is no advantage to waiting — cancel as soon as you decide.
Remember that this only removes the one channel. Your Prime membership, Prime Video access, and any other channels remain active and continue to bill on their own schedules.
If the channel was billed through Apple, Google, Roku, or a TV provider
When you added a channel through another platform's billing, that platform — not Amazon — controls the subscription. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select the channel, and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple requires you to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, select the channel, and tap Cancel subscription. For Roku, cancel from the channel tile under your Roku account's subscription settings. For a cable or mobile carrier bundle, contact that provider directly. In every case, the cancellation must happen with the company that appears on your statement.
If charges keep coming after you cancel
First, verify the cancellation went through by returning to the Channels page and confirming the subscription no longer appears as active, then keep your confirmation. If a charge you did not authorize still appears, contact Amazon customer service (or the third-party platform) with the dates and amounts.
If billing continues after a valid cancellation and the merchant will not resolve it, you have the right to ask your bank or card issuer to stop the payments and to dispute charges. Federal consumer-protection guidance explains how to revoke authorization for recurring card or ACH payments and how to notify your bank in writing. Note that stopping a payment at your bank does not by itself cancel the underlying subscription agreement, so cancel with the provider as well and keep records of every request.

FAQ
Does canceling a Prime Video Channel also cancel Amazon Prime?
No. Prime Video Channels are separate add-on subscriptions. Canceling a channel stops only that channel's billing and access. Your Amazon Prime membership, Prime Video, and any other channels stay active and continue to renew on their own schedules unless you cancel them individually.
Will I get a refund when I cancel a Prime Video Channel?
Usually you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for rather than receiving a prorated refund. On the cancellation screen, Amazon sometimes offers a self-service refund; if you accept it, cancellation is immediate. Otherwise, no partial refund is issued for the unused time.
Why can't I cancel my channel in the Prime Video app?
The Prime Video mobile app does not support canceling Amazon-billed channels; it directs you to a web browser. Open primevideo.com in a browser, sign in, and use Account & Settings → Channels. Channels added through the App Store or Google Play are canceled in those platforms' subscription settings instead.
