How to cancel Everand

Everand cancellation is self-serve if you subscribed on everand.com: profile icon, then Your account, then Cancel Subscription (labeled End My Subscription on some accounts) and confirm. Paid access runs to the end of the billing period, but canceling during a free trial ends access immediately. Subscriptions billed by Apple or Google must be canceled in those stores instead.

Menus and labels can change. If the steps below don’t match what you see, use the official help link on this page.

No fixed term and no early-termination fee — plans renew monthly or annually until canceled. Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel on the Everand website

  1. 1

Sign in to your account at everand.com.

  2. 2

Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner.

  3. 3

    Select "Your account".

  4. 4

In the Subscription section, select "Cancel Subscription" — some accounts show this as "End My Subscription".

  5. 5

Work through the confirmation pages and follow the confirmation prompts.

  6. 6

Confirm you see the on-screen confirmation message and receive the confirmation email; without it the cancellation has not registered.

Cancel an Everand subscription billed by Apple

  1. 1

Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. 2

Tap your name at the top, then "Subscriptions".

  3. 3

Find the Everand (or Scribd) subscription in the list.

  4. 4

    Tap "Cancel Subscription" and confirm.

  5. 5

On a Mac instead: App Store > View Information > Subscriptions > Manage > "Cancel Subscription".

Cancel an Everand subscription billed by Google Play

  1. 1

Open the Google Play app on Android, or go to play.google.com on a computer.

  2. 2

Tap your profile icon, then "Payments & subscriptions", then "Subscriptions".

  3. 3

Select the Everand (or Scribd) subscription.

  4. 4

    Tap "Cancel subscription" and confirm.

Pause instead of canceling (everand.com subscribers only)

  1. 1

Sign in at everand.com and tap your profile icon in the upper right.

  2. 2

    Select "Your account".

  3. 3

In the Subscription section, select "Pause subscription".

  4. 4

Choose a pause length in weekly increments, up to 12 weeks, and confirm.

  5. 5

Billing is frozen for the pause window and you keep your unlocked books; you can resume early at any time.

  6. 6

Note: pause is not offered during a free trial, and the option does not appear for App Store or Google Play subscribers.

Ask support to cancel (fallback)

  1. 1

The Everand Subscriber Agreement allows cancellation by emailing support@scribd.com.

  2. 2

Alternatively, submit a cancellation request through the Everand support website.

  3. 3

Include your account email address and the charge or subscription in question.

  4. 4

Keep the reply as proof of the cancellation request.

Expect a retention offer

  • Cancellation is not a single click — the help article routes you through confirmation pages and prompts, and the cancellation only counts once the confirmation message and email appear.
  • A pause option of up to 12 weeks is available in the same Subscription section as the cancel control, positioned as an alternative to canceling for everand.com subscribers.
  • Canceling during a free trial forfeits the remaining trial days because access ends immediately, which pushes trial users to wait until the last moment rather than cancel early.
  • Refunds have no self-serve path — you have to open a chat with the virtual assistant rather than click a button in your account.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Paid subscribers keep full access until the current billing period ends, and are not charged again unless they resubscribe.
  • Canceling during a free trial ends access immediately — the remaining trial days are not preserved.
  • Saved content and reading history stay on the account; previously unlocked books relock and are restored if you resubscribe with the same email.
  • Canceling on the Everand website does not stop charges billed through the App Store or Google Play — those have to be canceled in the store that bills you.
  • Cancellation takes effect immediately per the Subscriber Agreement, with access continuing only through the most recently paid-up subscription period.

Refund notes

  • Refunds are not self-serve. Everand's refund article says refunds are considered only for charges from the last 30 days and must be requested by starting a conversation with its virtual assistant, including your account email and the charge in question. The Subscriber Agreement states fees and charges are nonrefundable except as set out in the Refund Policy, with no credit for partial periods. Charges billed by Apple or Google must be refunded by Apple or Google, not by Everand. EU and UK subscribers have a legal right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

FAQ

Where is the cancel button in an Everand account?

Sign in at everand.com, tap the profile icon in the upper right, choose Your account, and look in the Subscription section. The control reads Cancel Subscription, or End My Subscription on some accounts. Everand says you get an on-screen confirmation plus a confirmation email once it goes through.

Does canceling Everand on the website stop an App Store or Google Play charge?

No. Everand's help center states plainly that canceling on the Everand website will not stop charges from Apple or Google. If you signed up inside the iOS or Android app, cancel in Settings > your name > Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Can I pause Everand instead of canceling?

Yes, if you subscribed on everand.com. The Subscription section of your account offers Pause subscription in weekly increments up to 12 weeks, which freezes billing while keeping your unlocked books and unused unlocks. Everand notes pause is not available during a free trial or for App Store and Google Play subscribers.

What happens to unlocked books after I cancel Everand?

Your saved content and reading history stay on the account. Previously unlocked titles become locked again once the subscription ends, and Everand documents that they are restored if you resubscribe using the same email address.

When do I have to cancel an Everand free trial to avoid being charged?

At least 24 hours before the trial ends, per Everand's own free-trial article. Be aware of the trade-off it documents: canceling during a trial ends your access immediately rather than at the trial's original end date, unlike a paid subscription where access runs to the next billing date.
