How to cancel ESPN Unlimited

Log in to your ESPN account through a computer or mobile browser

Hover over (web) or select (mobile browser) your Profile picture in the upper right corner of the page

Select Account under the Manage My Account section

Select Manage Subscription

Click on the Subscription under Plans & Billing

Select the plan you wish to cancel

Select "Cancel" and confirm your cancellation — effective the end of your billing cycle

Free-trial exception, documented separately at https://support.espn.com/hc/en-us/articles/45978999498772 : during the one-month free trial you can remove ESPN Unlimited at any time to avoid being charged, but you immediately lose access to ESPN

For that free-trial removal ESPN gives a slightly different path — log in on espn.com or the ESPN app, go to Profile > Account > Subscriptions, select "Manage Subscription", and follow the prompts to remove ESPN

Go to your account on ESPN.com

Select Manage My Account

Select Manage with MyDisney

Select the plan you wish to cancel

Select Cancel — access continues to the end of the current billing cycle

If you bought the bundle through FOX directly, manage the cancellation through FOX.com instead

Note that ESPN documents no pause option for this bundle

ESPN's cancellation article states only that if your subscription is billed through a third party such as Apple, Google or Roku, you must visit that partner to manage or review it — ESPN.com will not cancel it for you, and ESPN does not document the Apple steps themselves

The following steps come from Apple, not ESPN: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name at the top

Tap Subscriptions

Select the ESPN subscription and choose Cancel Subscription

ESPN does not document refund handling for third-party billers; a refund for an App Store charge has to be requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and is at Apple's discretion

ESPN directs subscribers billed by a third party such as Google to that partner rather than ESPN.com, but does not document the Google Play steps itself

The following steps come from Google, not ESPN: open the Google Play Store app or play.google.com while signed in to the Google account that pays

Open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions

Select the ESPN subscription and cancel it

ESPN does not document refund handling for third-party billers; a refund for a Google Play charge has to be requested from Google and is at Google's discretion

ESPN names Roku explicitly among the third-party billers it cannot cancel for you, but does not document the Roku steps itself

The following steps come from Roku, not ESPN: sign in to your Roku account at my.roku.com, or highlight the ESPN channel on your Roku device and press the star button

Open Manage subscriptions on the Roku account page, or choose Manage subscription from the device menu

Select the ESPN subscription and cancel it — access normally runs to the end of the paid period

Do not count on a refund: ESPN does not document refunds for third-party billers, and Roku treats subscription payments as generally non-refundable

Check whether ESPN Unlimited came with your TV package — ESPN lists Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV, Fubo TV, Spectrum TV, Verizon FiOS, U-verse, Cox, Comcast Xfinity and MLB.TV, with additional partners coming soon

If it did, there is no separate ESPN charge to cancel — ESPN states that if you cancel or switch out of an eligible TV provider plan, your ESPN subscription will also be canceled in accordance with your provider's terms, conditions and policies

Contact the TV provider, not ESPN, to change or end the underlying plan

Any term commitment, early-termination fee or equipment return is set by that provider

Hulu + Live TV subscribers are the one exception to activation — ESPN says they should have immediate access to ESPN Unlimited via their MyDisney login, with no separate activation step

Identify where the bundle was purchased — ESPN documents that what survives a cancellation depends on whether you had an existing subscription beforehand and where you purchased it

ESPN lists Disney+, Hulu, Verizon Wireless, Xfinity, Apple and Roku as bundle sign-up routes; cancel wherever you actually bought it

If you signed up through Disney+ or Hulu, manage or cancel the plan in that service's account settings using your MyDisney login
