Cancel BT broadband, TV or phone by phone
- 1
Check your contract service end date on the home page of My BT online or in the My BT app.
- 2
Call BT on 0800 783 1401 — the published hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-21:00, Saturday 08:00 to 20:00, and Sunday 09:00-18:00.
- 3
State that you are giving 30 days' notice to cancel, and name each service you want to end.
- 4
Ask BT to confirm the cancellation date and explain any final charges, including an early termination fee if you are still in your minimum contract period.
- 5
Return any equipment BT tells you to send back, and check the final bill against what you were quoted.
- • BT says: "You'll usually need to speak to us to cancel your service." It publishes no self-serve cancellation route for broadband, TV or phone.
- • BT says your service will stop 30 days after you cancel, and that you may need to return equipment and will receive a final bill.
