How to cancel Poe

You cancelled on poe.com but are still being charged.

The subscription was probably bought in the iOS or Android app. Poe says app subscriptions are managed through Apple or Google only, so cancel in the iOS Settings app under Subscriptions, or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions.

You want to move your subscription from the app to the web (or the other way).

Poe says subscriptions are platform-locked and that to subscribe on a different platform you have to cancel the current subscription and resubscribe there. Time the switch so you don't pay both at once — benefits run to the end of the cycle you already paid for.

Nothing in Settings confirms the cancellation went through.

Poe's guidance is to keep working through the prompts until you see a confirmation, then go back to Settings and check the Subscription section states the subscription is cancelled and that benefits will terminate at the end of this billing cycle.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • You keep subscriber benefits through the end of the current billing cycle — Poe's Cancellation Effective Date.
  • Confirm in Settings that the Subscription section shows the subscription as cancelled and that benefits end at the close of the billing cycle.

Refund notes

  • Poe's terms of sale say all subscription fees, amounts paid for purchases, and other final charges are non-refundable other than as set out in Quora's Subscriptions Refund Policy.
  • That policy documents refunds within 30 days of a charge where a technical issue stopped you using the subscription or where Quora made a payment error, and says you must contact support within 30 days of a charge regardless of whether you used the subscription. Requests need your username, email, purchase amount, and the date and time of the charge, and refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
  • App store purchases sit outside that route — Poe says iOS and Android refunds are handled by Apple and Google.
