How to cancel Fortnite Crew

Fortnite Crew renews each month until you cancel, and you cancel wherever you bought it. Epic subscribers use the Passes tab in-game, epicgames.com/account/subscriptions, or the Epic Games Store app; console and Apple subscribers turn off renewal in their platform account. Benefits run to the end of the paid period, with no prorated refund.

Can you cancel online?
yes
Where to start
Your Epic Games account Subscriptions page at epicgames.com/account/subscriptions, the Passes tab in-game, or the subscription manager of the platform you originally bought Fortnite Crew on.
Apple or Google billed?
Possible
Keeps access until
The end of the current billing period. Epic's terms frame cancellation as stopping the next charge — cancel before the next billing date and the subscription will not renew — and Epic's refund article describes cancelling Fortnite Crew "for next month", so the period you have already paid for runs its course rather than being cut short or refunded.
Contract / fees
No term or commitment — Epic's Fortnite Crew Subscription Terms describe a recurring monthly charge that continues until cancelled, cancellable at any time. The subscription is tied to the "Primary Platform" it was purchased on, is not transferable across platforms, and must be cancelled there; Epic states it does not handle billing or cancellations for console and mobile platform subscriptions. The terms also state you must log into your Primary Platform each subscription period to access Subscription Content, and that Epic will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the subscription mid-cycle — Epic's terms say to cancel before the next billing date to stop being charged, and that a subscription cancelled ahead of that date will not renew.
  • Items already received or earned while subscribed stay on your account — Epic describes the monthly Crew Pack Outfit and matching accessories as yours to keep, and the terms say you keep earned premium rewards from Fortnite passes plus the Subscription Content you received.
  • Future months stop: no new Crew Pack, no further 1,000 monthly V-Bucks, and no access to upcoming Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass or Music Pass seasons, which Epic says are included only while the subscription remains active.
  • Rocket Pass Premium in Rocket League is listed as a Bonus Benefit granted while subscribed, and Epic's terms state that Bonus Benefits are not assured, may not be available to all subscribers on all platforms, and may be changed from month to month, or discontinued, entirely at Epic's discretion.
  • V-Bucks already granted may not be redeemable on other platforms, since Epic ties the subscription to the Primary Platform it was purchased on.

Refund notes

  • Epic states that Fortnite Crew subscriptions cannot be refunded, and that what you can do instead is cancel so the subscription does not bill for next month. The Fortnite Crew Subscription Terms add that you are not eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the subscription fee, noting this does not affect statutory refund rights. If you subscribed through PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Apple or ONE store, Epic's terms note that additional terms, requirements and cancellation policies may apply and that Epic does not handle billing or cancellations for those platforms — check that provider's terms.

FAQ

Can I cancel Fortnite Crew from a different platform than the one I subscribed on?

No. Epic's terms tie each Fortnite Crew subscription to the "Primary Platform" you bought it on and state it is not transferable across platforms, so you must cancel through that platform. If you are not sure which one you used, Epic suggests checking your bank or credit card statement, or looking at the Subscriptions tab of your Epic Games account.

Do I lose my Crew Pack items and V-Bucks when I cancel Fortnite Crew?

No. The Fortnite Crew Subscription Terms state that if you cancel, you keep the Subscription Content you received or earned during your subscription, and Epic describes the monthly Crew Pack Outfit as yours to keep. What stops is future months: new Crew Packs, the 1,000 monthly V-Bucks, and access to upcoming Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass seasons.

Can I get a refund on Fortnite Crew instead of just cancelling?

Epic states plainly that Fortnite Crew subscriptions cannot be refunded, and that what you can do instead is cancel so you are not charged for next month. The subscription terms add that you are not eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the fee, while noting this does not affect statutory rights. If you subscribed through PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Apple or ONE store, Epic's terms note that additional terms, requirements and cancellation policies may apply and that Epic does not handle billing or cancellations for those platforms, so check that provider's terms.

When do I need to cancel Fortnite Crew to avoid the next charge?

Epic's terms say you must cancel before your next billing date to stop being charged. You can find that date in the Passes tab in-game, at epicgames.com/account/subscriptions, or in the Subscriptions tab of the Epic Games Store application. Cancel ahead of that date and the subscription will not renew.

How do I cancel Fortnite Crew if I got it through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

Fortnite states that Fortnite Crew is part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and that Game Pass Ultimate members receive all current Fortnite Crew benefits, so there is no separate Epic-billed Crew subscription to switch off. The Crew terms also state that Epic does not handle billing or cancellations for these platforms. Manage or turn off Game Pass Ultimate itself from Services & Subscriptions in your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com.
