How to cancel Financial Times

To cancel the Financial Times, sign in at ft.com, open Settings & Account, go to Subscription, and choose Cancel subscription. Some annual, corporate or print plans hide that button and route you to FT Live Chat or a contact form instead. If Apple or Google Play billed you, cancel through those subscription settings. Access runs to the end of your paid period; digital plans aren't refunded mid-cycle.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period you have paid for
  • Auto-renewal is stopped so you are not charged for the next period
  • No pro-rated refund is issued for the unused part of a digital billing period

Refund notes

  • Digital subscriptions are not pro-rated mid-cycle — you keep access until the paid period ends, then it stops. Print subscriptions may qualify for a cooling-off refund window from first delivery; check current terms.
