If you want the membership to end at your next renewal
- 1
Call 0370 333 1181 — this is the only cancellation route English Heritage's FAQ names.
- 2
Tell the team you want to cancel; its FAQ describes the cancellation being put in place for your next annual renewal once it is clear you are not staying.
- 3
Ask for the renewal date the cancellation is set against, and for written confirmation.
- 4
Keep using the membership until that date: the terms say membership is valid for twelve consecutive months with no extensions.
- 5
Check that the next subscription period is not collected.
- • English Heritage's terms say Direct Debit memberships renew automatically after 12 months unless you notify it by the date stated in your renewal letter, so the renewal letter is the deadline to work back from.
- • Its FAQ also says that if you pay by Direct Debit you do not need to do anything at renewal unless you want to change or cancel the membership.
