Why is Canva Pro still charging me after I cancelled?
Canva's own troubleshooting lists four causes. The cancellation may not have completed — Canva sends a confirmation email, and if you never got one, it likely did not go through. The most common version of this is stopping at the reason screen: the plan is not cancelled until you select the final 'Cancel subscription' button. The charge may also originate somewhere Canva cannot cancel: Canva states it cannot cancel Google Play or App Store subscriptions, so you have to cancel on the platform that billed you. You may have a second Canva account under a different email — Canva suggests searching your inboxes for Canva billing emails. Or an active PayPal billing agreement may still be running, which you cancel under PayPal Settings, then Payments, then Manage automatic payments. If none of that resolves it, Canva asks you to contact support with your order number or a screenshot of your bank statement.
Does deleting the Canva app cancel a Canva Pro subscription?
No. Canva states plainly that for mobile subscriptions, uninstalling the app does not cancel your plan, and that you must cancel through your device's app store. If the App Store billed you, go to Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Canva, then tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. If Google Play billed you, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, find the Canva plan and tap Cancel subscription. Canva's cancellation page also advises checking your billing email or bank statement first to confirm whether the charge came from Canva, Google, Apple, or PayPal; the exact statement descriptors it documents — Canva, Canva*invoice_id, APPLE*Canva and GOOGLE*Canva — appear on its separate billing-frequency help page.
How many screens does the Canva Pro cancellation flow actually take?
Six actions on the web. After selecting Cancel plan on your plan in Billing, you select Continue cancellation, choose a reason for cancelling, select Continue cancellation a second time, optionally type why you are leaving, and finally select Cancel subscription. The two confirmation buttons carry the same label, so it is easy to think the first one finished the job — and the optional feedback box looks like an ending even though it is not. Only the final Cancel subscription button ends the plan, and Canva confirms it by email. On a separate help page, Canva documents that choosing 'I want to pause my subscription' at the reason step diverts you into a three-month pause rather than a cancellation.
Can I pause Canva Pro instead of cancelling, and does pausing stop the billing?
Yes. On its pause help page, Canva documents a pause of up to three months for Canva Pro, Canva Teams, and Canva Business, with no charges during the pause. The pause begins once your current billing period ends, and the plan resumes automatically after three months with email reminders beforehand. Access to premium features is paused along with the payments. There is an eligibility limit on annual plans: Canva says you can pause an annual plan only if you have less than two months until it renews. You reach the option through the cancellation flow — select Cancel plan, then Continue cancellation, then 'I want to pause my subscription', then Pause for 3 months. If you actually want out, do not stop here.
What happens to my designs and Brand Kit after Canva Pro is cancelled?
Cancelling stops future payments, and Canva says you keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your account stays active and drops to Canva Free, and all designs remain accessible there. Canva also notes that Affinity remains accessible for free with your Canva account. On a Canva Teams or Canva Business plan, team members lose paid features at the end of the billing period, but all designs, Brand Kit content, and shared folders are retained on Canva Free, the workspace moves to the free plan, and the team admin remains the account owner. Changing your mind while the subscription is still active is possible via the Billing page, which shows a 'Stay on Canva Teams, Canva Business, Canva Pro, or Canva Pro Lite' option.
