How to cancel Blink Subscription

Cancel a Blink plan where you bought it. On Blink.com, sign in, click My Plan, then Cancel My Plan. Amazon-purchased plans cancel under Your Memberships & Subscriptions, with a choice of ending now or at renewal. Apple purchases cancel in iPhone Settings. Trials end inside the Blink app. Local storage on a Sync Module 2 keeps working without a plan.

Can you cancel online?
yes
Where to start
Blink.com, signed in, under My Plan — unless Amazon or Apple billed the plan, in which case start in your Amazon Memberships & Subscriptions page or iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Trials are cancelled in the Blink app only, under Settings > Blink Subscription Plans.
Apple or Google billed?
Possible
Keeps access until
Depends on where the plan was billed. Blink documents that a Blink.com cancellation lets plan benefits continue until the end of the plan's next renewal date — and that you can reactivate the plan during that window — while an Apple-billed plan remains active until the end of your billing period. On Amazon you are given the option to cancel immediately or on your next renewal date; if you choose immediate, Blink documents that benefits stop right away.
Contract / fees
Blink documents no minimum term, lock-in contract, or early-termination fee. Blink plans are sold as auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscriptions — Amazon lists them under names like "Blink Plus Plan with yearly auto-renewal" — and Blink's cancellation article refers to benefits running to "the end of the plan's next renewal date". Where the plan is billed determines where it can be cancelled: Blink bills plans bought on Blink.com, Amazon bills plans bought through Amazon, and Apple bills plans bought in-app on iOS — the Blink app shows a Subscription Channel of "Apple" in that case. Blink's own cancellation article limits the Blink.com self-serve path to the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands; customers outside those regions cancel through Amazon. Blink also documents that customers with a billing address in Quebec and Labrador must manually renew a yearly Blink plan purchased on Amazon rather than having it renew on its own. Blink's refund documentation references 2-year and 3-year plan lengths sold through Amazon; check current plan terms and pricing before buying one, since Blink states those longer prepaid terms are not refundable.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel a plan bought on Blink.com

  1. 1

From your web browser, visit Blink.com and log in with the email and password for your Blink account.

  2. 2

If prompted to verify, enter the verification code received via text message, WhatsApp, or email, then click Verify Code. If no code arrives, a Resend Code button appears after 90 seconds.

  3. 3

At the top, click My Plan.

  4. 4

Under "Plan Details," click Cancel My Plan.

  5. 5

An explanation page displays the devices that will lose coverage. Click Cancel Plan.

  6. 6

A confirmation page displays that your plan has been canceled, and Blink sends an email notification.

  7. 7

Plan benefits continue until the end of the plan's next renewal date, and Blink documents that during this window you can reactivate your plan. After the renewal date passes, you can purchase a new plan on Blink.com.

  8. 8

Blink notes you will not be automatically refunded for any unused portion of your plan if you cancel on Blink.com.

  9. 9

This self-serve web path is available to customers in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands; customers outside these regions cancel through Amazon.

Cancel a plan billed through Amazon

  1. 1

In a web browser or the Amazon app, sign in to the Amazon account that holds the Blink plan.

  2. 2

On the web: go to Your Memberships & Subscriptions in your Amazon account to view your current plan.

  3. 3

In the Amazon app: tap the Menu icon (bottom-right on iPhone, top-left on Android), select Your Account and log in if prompted (or tap Account if already signed in), then scroll down and select Memberships & subscriptions. (Blink documents this app navigation in its "Manage Your Blink Plan" article rather than in the cancellation article.)

  4. 4

Select Cancel Subscription for the plan you want removed from your account.

  5. 5

You will be given an option to cancel immediately or on your next renewal date. Select the Confirm cancellation button.

  6. 6

A list of cancellation reasons displays. Make your selection, then select the Submit cancellation reason button to cancel the plan.

  7. 7

Blink documents that you will receive an email notification confirming the cancellation, and that you can then purchase a new plan on Blink.com or Amazon.

  8. 8

Refunds per Blink: monthly subscribers — benefits stop immediately and Amazon issues a prorated refund; yearly subscribers — benefits stop immediately and Amazon issues a prorated amount in monthly increments based on the time remaining; 2- or 3-year plans — the plan ends at the end of the billing cycle with no refunds provided.

Cancel a plan bought in-app on an iPhone or iPad

  1. 1

Optional check: in the Blink app tap Settings > Blink Subscription Plans; at the bottom of the Plan Details section, your Subscription Channel displays Apple when the plan was purchased in-app. (Blink documents this in its "Manage Your Blink Plan" article.)

  2. 2

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  3. 3

    Tap your name.

  4. 4

    Tap Subscriptions.

  5. 5

Find your Blink subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.

  6. 6

Your plan remains active until the end of your billing period — Blink documents the same Settings path and the same end-of-period wording on its own cancellation page.

Cancel a Blink Plus Plan no-cost trial in the Blink app (in-app only)

  1. 1

Open the Blink app and navigate to the Settings screen. (This flow is in-app only — it is not a web cancellation.)

  2. 2

    Tap Blink Subscription Plans.

  3. 3

Select "Cancel Trial" at the bottom of the screen.

  4. 4

On the Cancel Free Trial screen, tap the "End My Free Trial" button. (In Canada the screen and button read Cancel Trial / "End My Trial".)

  5. 5

You are taken back to the Settings screen and get a "Free trial cancelled" message. ("Trial cancelled" in Canada.)

  6. 6

Blink documents that you then no longer have a no-cost trial, but can purchase a new plan anytime on Blink.com or Amazon.

Expect a retention offer

  • Blink.com shows an interstitial explanation page after you click Cancel My Plan, listing the devices that will lose coverage before you can click Cancel Plan to finish.
  • Cancelling an Amazon-billed plan requires two extra confirmation steps: selecting Confirm cancellation, then choosing a cancellation reason and submitting it.
  • The cancellation path is split by billing channel — Blink documents that a plan bought through Amazon or Apple cannot be cancelled on Blink.com, so people who start in the wrong place have to restart elsewhere.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Access runs to the end of the current billing period on Blink.com and Apple; on Amazon you choose between ending immediately and ending at the next renewal date.
  • Blink sends an email notification confirming the cancellation, and on the Blink.com route documents that you can reactivate the plan any time before the next renewal date passes.
  • Cloud recording stops. Blink documents that saved clips stay available in the Blink app and are deleted based on your settings — up to 60 days for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, and 30 days for all other regions. Download anything you want to keep before then.
  • You lose plan-only features. Blink lists Person and Vehicle Detection and its AI-powered features among what cancellation gives up, and notes those AI features are available only in the US, Canada and UK and are unavailable in Illinois.
  • Your cameras are not bricked. Blink documents that with a Sync Module 2 and a supported USB drive inserted, Local Storage begins saving clips to the drive unless you are on a Blink Subscription Plan, and those files are shown in the Blink app clip list. Blink notes the original Sync Module's USB port was meant for testing only and does not save clips.
  • Blink documents that cancelling a no-cost trial means you no longer have a trial, but you can purchase a new plan at any time on Blink.com or Amazon.

Refund notes

  • There is no single refund rule — Blink documents three different outcomes depending on who billed you. For a plan cancelled on Blink.com, Blink states you will not be automatically refunded for any unused portion. For Amazon-billed plans, Blink documents a prorated refund from Amazon for monthly subscribers, and for yearly subscribers a prorated amount from Amazon in monthly increments based on the time remaining. For a 2- or 3-year plan purchased through Amazon, Blink states the plan ends at the end of your billing cycle with no refunds provided. Apple-billed plans run to the end of the billing period and any refund request goes to Apple under its own policies. Blink documents no self-serve refund button on its own site.

FAQ

Why can't I cancel my Blink Subscription plan inside the Blink app?

Because the Blink app is not always where the plan is billed. Blink documents that you cancel from Blink.com, Amazon, or Apple depending on where you bought the plan. The Blink app is only the documented cancellation point for a no-cost trial — Settings, then Blink Subscription Plans, then Cancel Trial, which is an in-app flow with no web equivalent. For a paid plan, the app can show you the plan and its Subscription Channel, but the actual cancellation happens on whichever platform charged you.

Do I get money back if I cancel a Blink Subscription part-way through the term?

It depends entirely on where you bought it, and Blink spells out the difference. Cancel on Blink.com and Blink states you will not be automatically refunded for any unused portion. Cancel an Amazon-billed plan and Blink documents a prorated refund from Amazon for monthly plans, and for yearly plans a prorated amount in monthly increments based on the time remaining. For a 2- or 3-year plan bought on Amazon, Blink states the plan ends at the end of your billing cycle with no refunds provided.

What happens to my saved Blink clips after the subscription plan is cancelled?

Cloud recording stops, but Blink documents that saved clips stay available in the Blink app and are then deleted based on your settings — up to 60 days for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, and 30 days for all other regions. Download anything you want to keep before that window closes.

Do my Blink cameras still record anything without a subscription plan?

Yes, if you have a Sync Module 2. Blink documents that Local Storage begins saving clips to an inserted USB drive unless you are on a Blink Subscription Plan, and that those clips appear in the Blink app clip list. Blink notes the original Sync Module's USB port was meant for testing only and does not save clips. You do lose plan-only features — Blink lists Person and Vehicle Detection and its AI-powered features among what cancelling gives up.

If I cancel my Blink plan on Amazon, does coverage stop that day or at renewal?

Amazon gives you the choice. Blink documents that when you cancel from Your Memberships & Subscriptions you are given an option to cancel immediately or on your next renewal date, and that you get an email confirming the cancellation. That is different from the other two routes: Blink states a Blink.com cancellation lets plan benefits continue until the end of the plan's next renewal date (and that you can reactivate during that window), while an Apple cancellation leaves the plan active until the end of your billing period.
