How to cancel OurTime

OurTime memberships paid by credit card cancel on the site: open Settings, choose Manage subscription, enter your password, click Cancel Subscription, answer the short questions, then Continue Cancellation. You get a confirmation number and an end date, and full member benefits run until the current subscription expires. Apple-billed subscriptions cancel in iPhone Settings.

OurTime states that when you cancel, your account remains active with full member benefits until your current subscription expires — and the cancellation screen shows you a confirmation number plus the last day of your subscription.
Contract / fees
OurTime sells one-, three- and six-month packages. Its help center states that your subscription package is charged in full at the time of purchase rather than billed monthly, and that if you would like to be charged on a monthly basis you should select the one-month package. All memberships paid by credit card automatically renew until cancelled, and OurTime says all new upgrades are charged a one-time, non-refundable processing fee in addition to the membership plan cost and any applicable taxes. No early-termination fee is documented.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

If you subscribed on ourtime.com and pay by credit card

  1. 1

Sign in at ourtime.com and click Settings in the upper-right corner.

  2. 2

    Click Manage subscription.

  3. 3

    Enter your password.

  4. 4

    Click Cancel Subscription.

  5. 5

Answer a few short questions, then click Continue Cancellation.

  6. 6

You will receive a confirmation number and a date for the last day of your subscription; from there you can choose to hide your profile or deactivate the account.

  • On a phone the path is: tap your profile at the bottom right, tap the gear icon at the top right, scroll down to Manage account, tap Manage Subscription, then follow the same password, Cancel Subscription and Continue Cancellation steps.
  • OurTime states that all memberships paid by credit card automatically renew until cancelled, and that upon downgrading your account your credit card will no longer be charged for future membership.

If you subscribed inside the iPhone or iPad app (billed by Apple)

  1. 1

Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. 2

Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen.

  3. 3

    Locate Subscriptions.

  4. 4

Tap the name of the subscription you want to modify.

  5. 5

    Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

  6. 6

You should get a pop-up confirming when your subscription will expire.

  • This is OurTime's own documented path for in-app purchases — its cancellation article also tells App Store subscribers to visit Subscriptions in their phone settings.
  • For anything further on an Apple-billed charge, OurTime points you to Apple directly at https://support.apple.com/billing.

If you subscribed inside the Android app (billed by Google Play)

  1. 1

Open the Google Play Store app, or go to play.google.com, signed in with the Google account you used to subscribe.

  2. 2

Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

  3. 3

    Select OurTime in the list.

  4. 4

Select Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

  5. 5

Google states that when you cancel, you'll still be able to use the subscription for the time you've already paid.

  • OurTime's own help center documents the website path and the Apple path but not a Google Play path. Its Google Play listing (com.peoplemedia.ourtime, Match Group Americas, LLC) is marked as containing in-app purchases, so a subscription started inside the Android app is billed by Google and can only be stopped in Google Play.
  • Cancelling in Google Play does not remove your OurTime profile — that is a separate action in your account settings.
  • Google's article also warns that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription: "When you uninstall an app, your subscription won't cancel."

Expect a retention offer

  • The cancel control sits behind a password re-entry step — Manage subscription asks for your password before Cancel Subscription appears
  • Cancel Subscription is not the last step: OurTime documents that you then 'answer a few short questions' and click Continue Cancellation before the cancellation completes
  • OurTime's cancellation article closes by inviting you back to its Contact Us form if you are cancelling 'for any reason other than having met someone'

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

Manage subscription asks for a password I don't have — I sign in another way.

OurTime's documented cancellation flow requires the password step before Cancel Subscription appears, so reset it from the sign-in screen first and then run the flow. If you still cannot get through, OurTime's cancellation article links a Contact Us form and says someone will get back to you within 48 hours — send it well before your renewal date.

I cancelled but my OurTime profile is still visible to other members.

That is expected. Cancelling only stops the renewal; OurTime states your account remains active with full member benefits until the subscription expires. Hiding or deactivating is offered as a separate choice on the cancellation confirmation screen, or later under the gear icon > Visibility.

I cancelled on the website but I am still being charged.

Check which channel the charge is coming from. OurTime's website cancellation only covers credit-card billing on ourtime.com. If you originally subscribed inside the iPhone app the charge is Apple's, and OurTime tells you to cancel in Settings > your Apple ID > Subscriptions; if you subscribed in the Android app it is a Google Play charge and has to be cancelled in Play's Subscriptions list.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • OurTime shows a confirmation number and the last day of your subscription on screen — save both.
  • Your account remains active with full member benefits until the current subscription expires.
  • Once the account downgrades, OurTime states your credit card will no longer be charged for future membership.
  • From the confirmation screen you can separately choose to hide your profile or deactivate the account; neither is required to stop the billing.
  • If you go on to remove your profile, OurTime says all emails, photos, records relating to your profile, remaining time and account are immediately removed from the site.

Refund notes

  • OurTime's help center documents no refund for unused time. Its pricing article states that your subscription package is charged in full at the time of purchase and that all new upgrades are charged a one-time, non-refundable processing fee in addition to the plan cost and any applicable taxes. Cancelling stops the renewal and leaves your benefits in place until the current subscription expires; it does not shorten or reimburse the term you already paid for. App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded only by Apple or Google under their own policies.

FAQ

Where is the Cancel Subscription button on OurTime?

Behind a password prompt. On the desktop site click Settings in the upper-right corner, click Manage subscription, enter your password, then Cancel Subscription. On a phone, tap your profile at the bottom right, tap the gear icon at the top right, scroll to Manage account and tap Manage Subscription. Either way you then answer a few short questions and tap Continue Cancellation before it takes effect.

Does hiding my OurTime profile stop the membership from renewing?

No. OurTime documents hiding your profile (gear icon in the upper-right corner > Visibility > No one can see you) as a way to take a break, not as a way to pause billing — it explicitly says there is no option to suspend a membership. Credit-card memberships automatically renew until cancelled, so you have to run the Manage subscription > Cancel Subscription flow separately.

Can I get a refund for unused time on OurTime?

OurTime documents no refund for the unused part of a term. Its pricing article says packages are charged in full at the time of purchase and that every new upgrade also carries a one-time, non-refundable processing fee. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your benefits running until the current subscription expires. Apple and Google Play purchases are refunded only by those stores.

How do I cancel OurTime if I subscribed through the App Store?

In your iPhone settings, not on the OurTime site. OurTime's own article says to launch Settings, tap your Apple ID, open Subscriptions, tap the subscription, then Cancel Subscription and confirm — a pop-up tells you when it expires. OurTime points any further billing questions for that purchase to Apple at support.apple.com/billing.

Does OurTime bill monthly, or is the whole package charged upfront?

Upfront. OurTime offers six-month, three-month and one-month packages, and states that although the rate page shows a monthly average price for comparison, your package is charged in full at the time of purchase. If you want to be charged monthly, its help center says to select the one-month package.
