How to cancel Keeper Security

Where you cancel Keeper depends on who billed you. App Store and Google Play subscriptions cancel in your device's subscription settings. Buy direct from keepersecurity.com and Keeper's help centre says you may need to contact support — no self-serve cancel control is documented. Terms call fees nonrefundable, so file at least 30 days before renewal. Cancelling does not delete your vault; deleting the account does.

Contract / fees
No minimum term or early-termination fee is documented for personal plans. Keeper's SaaS Terms of Use (keepersecurity.com/termsofuse.html) state that, unless otherwise agreed, subscription fees are billed and collected annually in advance, and that either party may terminate for convenience or elect not to renew "upon at least thirty (30) days' prior written notice before the applicable renewal date." That 30-day notice governs subscriptions bought from Keeper directly; if Apple or Google bills you, their store rules apply instead — cancel before the renewal date in the store. Because the direct-web path is a support request rather than a self-serve control, filing the day before renewal may not stop the charge. Business and Enterprise subscriptions are cancelled through keepersuccess@keepersecurity.com; MSPs use business.support@keepersecurity.com.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Bought directly from keepersecurity.com

  1. 1

Open the Keeper Web Vault or Desktop App and click your email address in the top-right corner, then select the Account tab — Keeper's article says this is where you view your subscription type and renewal information, which tells you who bills you.

  2. 2

Keeper's knowledge base says that for website purchases — or if you want to upgrade your plan or remove specific add-ons like BreachWatch or Secure File Storage — you may need to contact Keeper's support team at keepersecurity.com/support. No self-serve cancel control is documented for direct purchases.

  3. 3

Submit the support request asking to cancel the subscription and stop the renewal, or to remove only the add-ons you no longer want if you are downgrading rather than leaving.

  4. 4

File it at least 30 days before your renewal date: Keeper's SaaS Terms of Use say either party may terminate for convenience or elect not to renew "upon at least thirty (30) days' prior written notice before the applicable renewal date."

  5. 5

Keep the support ticket confirmation. Keeper's terms state all fees are nonrefundable and considered earned on receipt, so the confirmation is your record that the request was filed in time.

Billed through the Apple App Store

  1. 1

Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. 2

Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.

  3. 3

    Select Keeper Password Manager.

  4. 4

From here you can change or cancel your plan. Keeper's article says App Store subscriptions are managed through your device's account settings; refund requests for an Apple-billed subscription go to Apple under Apple's own policy.

Billed through Google Play

  1. 1

Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. 2

Tap your profile icon, then tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

  3. 3

Select Keeper Password Manager to manage your plan, and cancel it from that screen.

  4. 4

Refund requests for a Play-billed subscription go to Google under Google's own policy rather than to Keeper.

Deleting the Keeper account entirely

  1. 1

Understand first that this is not the same as cancelling: Keeper states that deleting your Keeper account will result in the cancellation of your account and all active services.

  2. 2

Export or otherwise save anything you still need out of the vault before you start — deletion is permanent.

  3. 3

In the Keeper mobile app, go to Account > Help, tap Delete Keeper Account and follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. 4

Or email deleteme@keepersecurity.com to request account deletion.

  5. 5

As a precaution, if Apple or Google bills your subscription, check that store's Subscriptions screen afterwards and cancel there too — Keeper does not document whether account deletion stops a store-side renewal.

Business, Enterprise or MSP subscription

  1. 1

Confirm you are an Admin on the Keeper Business or Enterprise subscription.

  2. 2

Email keepersuccess@keepersecurity.com with the cancellation request, per Keeper's knowledge base.

  3. 3

Managed Service Providers should instead contact business.support@keepersecurity.com.

  4. 4

Allow for the at least 30 days' prior written notice before the renewal date that Keeper's Terms of Use require for electing not to renew.

Expect a retention offer

  • No save offers, discount screens or downgrade interstitials are documented on Keeper's official cancellation pages.
  • The friction is structural rather than scripted: for keepersecurity.com purchases Keeper's help article says you may need to contact its support team, and no self-serve cancel control is documented — a support agent handles the request instead of a toggle you can flip yourself.
  • Keeper's help article does not publish a renewal-cancellation deadline alongside the support link, while the Terms of Use separately require at least 30 days' notice before the renewal date.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Paid features remain available through the end of the period already paid for.
  • The account then reverts to Keeper's free version: Keeper's help centre says you can still access your data in the free version on the same mobile device without paid features, capped at 10 records and 1 mobile device, with no web vault, browser extension, sharing, record history or support.
  • Cancelling the subscription does not delete the vault, and uninstalling the app is not a cancellation either — Keeper documents account deletion as a separate action taken from the mobile app or via deleteme@keepersecurity.com.
  • Deleting the Keeper account is that separate, permanent action; Keeper states it will result in the cancellation of your account and all active services, so export anything you need first.
  • Dropping only an add-on such as BreachWatch or Secure File Storage goes through the same support request as a full cancellation, per Keeper's knowledge base.

Refund notes

  • Keeper's SaaS Terms of Use state that because the software is delivered in full at the time of purchase, all fees are nonrefundable and considered earned on receipt. The one documented exception is that prepaid unused fees are refunded if the agreement is terminated due to Keeper's material breach. No money-back window is documented on Keeper's official pages; Keeper's documented pre-purchase option is a 30-day trial for consumer users instead. Apple and Google handle refund requests for subscriptions they billed, under their own policies.

FAQ

Does Keeper Security give you a money-back window if you cancel right after being charged?

No documented one. Keeper's SaaS Terms of Use say that because the software is delivered in full at the time of purchase, all fees are nonrefundable and considered earned on receipt. The only refund exception written into the terms is prepaid unused fees returned if the agreement is terminated for Keeper's own material breach. What Keeper documents instead is a 30-day trial for consumer users before you pay. If Apple or Google billed you, refund requests go to that store under its policy, not to Keeper.

If I cancel Keeper Security, do I lose the passwords in my vault?

Cancelling and deleting are two different things. Keeper's help centre says that after the trial or paid period ends you can still access your data in the free version on the same mobile device, without paid features — capped at 10 records and 1 mobile device, with no web vault, browser extension, sharing or record history. Deleting the account is the permanent step: Keeper states that deleting your Keeper account will result in the cancellation of your account and all active services. Export or write down anything you need before either step.

Is there a self-serve way to cancel Keeper Security if I bought it on the website?

Not one that Keeper documents. Its knowledge base tells website purchasers — and anyone who wants to remove add-ons like BreachWatch or Secure File Storage — that they may need to contact Keeper's support team at keepersecurity.com/support. So the direct-web path is a support request an agent has to work, not a button. A one-click cancel exists only when Apple or Google is the biller, in that store's Subscriptions screen.

How far ahead of renewal should I contact Keeper Security?

Keeper's SaaS Terms of Use set the non-renewal bar at at least 30 days' prior written notice before the applicable renewal date, and say subscription fees are billed and collected annually in advance unless otherwise agreed. Since the direct-web path is a support ticket, treat the renewal date minus 30 days as your real deadline. Check the Account tab in the Web Vault (click your email address, top right) to confirm your plan and billing source first. If Apple or Google bills you, follow that store's timing rules instead.

Does deleting the Keeper app stop the billing?

No. Uninstalling the app removes it from your device; it does not cancel a subscription or delete your Keeper account, which Keeper documents as a separate action taken from the mobile app or by emailing deleteme@keepersecurity.com. Billing lives wherever you bought the subscription — Keeper support for keepersecurity.com purchases, Apple's Settings app for App Store purchases, Google Play for Android purchases. Removing the icon from your phone touches none of those.
