How to cancel Incogni

Incogni cancellations happen in your own account at incogni.com/login: open Profile, go to Subscription & billing, click Manage beside your plan, then Cancel subscription. Access runs to the end of the paid period. The 30-day money-back guarantee is separate and requires contacting support. Deletion is a separate process from cancelling. Bundled NordVPN, Surfshark or Coveron plans cancel with that provider.

Contract / fees
No fixed-term contract or early-termination fee is documented. Plans run month-to-month or annually and simply stop renewing once auto-renewal is cancelled. Annual plans are prepaid, and Incogni's terms tie the 30-day money-back guarantee to the initial purchase rather than to renewals — with an exception the terms describe for Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, where refund rights on auto-renewal charges and pro-rata refunds are noted.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel auto-renewal in your Incogni account (web)

  1. 1

Log in to your Incogni account at incogni.com/login.

  2. 2

Click your email address in the upper-right corner on desktop, or tap the profile icon on mobile.

  3. 3

    Select Profile from the menu.

  4. 4

Choose the Subscription & billing tab in the menu on the left.

  5. 5

Click Manage next to your plan name to open the drop-down menu.

  6. 6

Select Cancel subscription and follow the steps on screen.

  7. 7

Note that this stops auto-renewal and future charges but does not issue a refund on its own.

  8. 8

If you would rather not do it yourself, Incogni says you can also cancel by reaching out to its Customer Support team via the contact us button in the help center.

Cancel or request the 30-day refund through Incogni Customer Support

  1. 1

Open the Incogni Help Center and use the contact us button to reach the Customer Support team.

  2. 2

State whether you want the subscription cancelled, a refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee, or both.

  3. 3

Send the refund request within 30 days of your initial purchase — Incogni's money-back guarantee covers one (1) refund per customer.

  4. 4

Support guides you through the process and, where eligible, processes the refund to your original payment method.

Cancel an Incogni plan bought through NordVPN, Surfshark or Coveron

  1. 1

Check which company actually charged you before opening the Incogni portal.

  2. 2

If you bought Incogni via NordVPN, Coveron (previously NordProtect) or Surfshark, contact that provider's customer support team to cancel — Incogni's help center says the cancellation must go through them.

  3. 3

Ask that provider to confirm the cancellation date and which refund policy applies, since Incogni's terms say it cannot refund subscriptions obtained through resellers other than Paddle.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid for — the help center says you can keep using the services you've bought until the subscription expires.
  • Auto-renewal stops, so your saved payment method is not charged again for the following term.
  • Cancelling auto-renewal does not issue a refund by itself; the 30-day money-back guarantee is a separate request to Customer Support.
  • Your account and its removal history stay in place unless you separately ask support to delete the account.
  • Deleting the account is a separate process from cancelling — Incogni states deletion gives no refund for the unused portion and forfeits the remainder of an active subscription, and it points anyone who wants to stop recurring payments to the cancellation flow instead.

Refund notes

  • Incogni documents a 30-day money-back guarantee running from the initial purchase, limited to one (1) refund per customer. It is not self-serve — the help center says you must contact the Customer Support team within the window to request it, and cancelling auto-renewal does not trigger a refund on its own. The terms state Incogni cannot refund subscriptions obtained through resellers other than Paddle, and no refund applies to accounts terminated for terms violations. Check current pricing and terms before relying on the window.

FAQ

Does deleting my Incogni account cancel my subscription?

No. Incogni's help center calls deletion a separate process from cancelling, and points anyone who wants to stop recurring payments to the cancellation flow. Deleting the account gives no refund for the unused portion of your service period and forfeits the remainder of an active subscription. To stop billing, cancel auto-renewal under Profile → Subscription & billing.

How long is Incogni's money-back guarantee, and can I claim it myself?

Incogni documents a 30-day money-back guarantee starting from your initial purchase, limited to one refund per customer. It is not self-serve — the help center says you must contact the Customer Support team within those 30 days to request it. Cancelling auto-renewal in your account does not trigger a refund by itself.

I bought Incogni through NordVPN or Surfshark — where do I cancel?

Not in Incogni's own account portal. Incogni's help center states that subscriptions bought via NordVPN, Coveron (previously NordProtect) or Surfshark must be cancelled by contacting that provider's customer support. Incogni's terms also say it cannot issue refunds for subscriptions obtained through resellers other than Paddle.

Do I lose access to Incogni's data-removal work the moment I cancel?

No. Incogni's help center says that after you cancel auto-renewal you can keep using the services you've bought until the subscription expires. Cancelling ends future charges at the period boundary rather than cutting off access on the day you click Cancel subscription.

Why does my statement show a Paddle charge instead of Incogni?

Paddle is the payment provider handling Incogni's billing, so the charge appears on your receipt as Paddle.net rather than Incogni. This matters at cancellation time because Incogni's terms limit refunds to subscriptions bought through its own website via Paddle — anything bought through another reseller has to be handled by that reseller.
