How to cancel Cursor

Cursor cancels online. Sign in at cursor.com/dashboard/billing, click Manage Subscription to open the Stripe portal, then click Cancel Subscription and confirm. You keep paid features until the end of the current billing period, then drop to the free Hobby plan. Subscribed inside the Cursor iOS app? You cancelled on cursor.com but the Cursor app on your iPhone still shows a paid plan.

These are two different subscriptions. Cursor says an in-app plan is managed entirely by Apple and cannot be cancelled from cursor.com. Check Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone for a separate Cursor entry and cancel it there.

Cancellation is blocked because your billing page shows an issue.

Cursor says an unpaid invoice or an account-state mismatch can block cancellation until billing is resolved. Go to cursor.com/dashboard/billing, check for unpaid invoices, complete or retry the payment from Manage Subscription, and if it persists contact support with your workspace name and a screenshot.

You are on a team plan and see no billing options at all.

Cursor says team members won't see billing options and only team admins can cancel through the billing page. Ask your team admin to make the plan change.

Your in-app purchase isn't showing on your account after buying it.

Cursor says subscription status usually syncs automatically, and if it still looks wrong you should tap Restore Purchases in the app to re-download your subscription state from Apple. Use the same email you subscribed with - an in-app plan is tied to both a single Cursor email and the Apple ID that bought it.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

You keep access to your paid plan features until the end of the current billing period, and Cursor says you won't be charged again after cancelling.
Once the billing period ends, the account reverts to the free Hobby plan.

Refund notes

Cursor documents a narrow refund window for individual plans: you may qualify for a refund on your most recent subscription payment only if the charge was made within the last 14 days and you have not used the subscription during that billing period. Cursor reviews the account to confirm, and eligible refunds return to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
Cursor says it does not issue prorated refunds or credits when you downgrade mid-cycle, and that on-demand and fast-request charges for usage you have already consumed are not refundable.
To request a refund, Cursor asks you to contact support while signed in and include the email on your Cursor account, the charge amount and date, the invoice ID or receipt if available, and a short description of what looks incorrect.
Refunds for iOS in-app purchases have to go to Apple - Cursor says it cannot issue them.

Can Cursor cancel a subscription I bought inside the Cursor iOS app?

Can I get a refund when I cancel Cursor?
