How to cancel Calendly

Calendly documents cancellation as a switch to the Free plan. Go to the Billing page in the Admin Center, select Change plan, choose Upgrade/Downgrade, then select the Free plan. Once you confirm, the subscription switches at the end of your current billing cycle, and payments are generally non-refundable.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

If you subscribed on calendly.com

  1. 1

Go to the Billing page in the Admin Center.

  2. 2

    Select Change plan.

  3. 3

    Choose Upgrade/Downgrade.

  4. 4

From the available options, select the Free plan.

  5. 5

    Confirm the change.

  • Calendly states: once you confirm the change, your subscription will switch at the end of your current billing cycle, and you'll retain access to your paid features until then.

If you changed your mind and want to stop a pending downgrade

  1. 1

    Go to Settings > Billing.

  2. 2

Calendly says to click the banner in Settings > Billing to cancel the downgrade.

  3. 3

Check that the Billing page no longer shows the subscription switching to Free.

  • Calendly's plan and billing article documents that moving a yearly subscription to monthly billing is not self-serve — you get in touch with its billing team by contacting support.
  • The reverse is self-serve: Calendly says to go to Settings > Billing, find Next bill, and select Switch to annual.

If you are on a trial, or need a refund reviewed

  1. 1

Open Calendly's help site and use the contact option to reach the billing team.

  2. 2

For a trial, tell them you want to cancel it — Calendly's cancellation article answers "How do I cancel my trial?" by directing you to get in touch with the billing team by contacting support.

  3. 3

For a refund, explain your circumstances: Calendly says payments are generally non-refundable as noted in its Terms and Conditions, but that the support team may review special cases.

  4. 4

Keep the support ticket or email confirmation as your record.

  • Calendly documents no self-serve control for cancelling a trial — the article points to the billing team instead.

If you also want to delete the Calendly account entirely

  1. 1

Go to Settings > Profile and scroll to the bottom of the page.

  2. 2

    Select Delete Account.

  3. 3

Choose the option that matches your role — transfer ownership and delete the account, keep the account and leave the organization, or delete the account and disband the organization.

  4. 4

Check your email for the verification code and enter it, then select a new owner if you are prompted to.

  5. 5

Choose a reason from the dropdown and select Delete.

  • Calendly warns that deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • If you are the organization owner, Calendly says booked meetings from your event types may be removed from the Calendar page and cannot be recovered in Calendly, though they may show as cancelled events in connected calendars.
  • Deleting the account is a separate action from downgrading — do the plan change first if you only want the billing to stop.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

You searched Calendly's settings for a Cancel Subscription option and found nothing.

Calendly documents cancellation as a plan change, not a cancel button: Billing page in the Admin Center > Change plan > Upgrade/Downgrade > Free. Confirm it, then check that Settings > Billing shows the pending switch.

You downgraded but still see paid features, and worry it didn't work.

That is expected. Calendly says the switch happens at the end of your current billing cycle and you retain paid features until then. Settings > Billing should display a banner showing the pending downgrade.

You want your data gone, not just the billing stopped.

Downgrading keeps the account. To remove it, go to Settings > Profile, scroll to the bottom, select Delete Account, verify by email code and confirm. Calendly warns this is permanent, and an owner's booked meetings may be removed and cannot be recovered.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Your subscription switches to the Free plan at the end of the current billing cycle; you keep paid features until then.
  • Before it takes effect, a banner appears in Settings > Billing that lets you cancel the pending downgrade.
  • Downgrading does not delete your account — your login, event types and history remain, on Free plan limits.
  • If you separately delete the account, Calendly says the deletion is permanent, and an owner's booked meetings may be removed from the Calendar page and cannot be recovered in Calendly.

Refund notes

  • Calendly states that payments are generally non-refundable, as noted in its Terms and Conditions, and that the support team may review special cases. There is no documented self-serve refund, so budget for the remainder of the term you have already paid for.

FAQ

How do I cancel my Calendly subscription from the Billing page?

Calendly's documented route is a plan change. Go to the Billing page in the Admin Center, select Change plan, choose Upgrade/Downgrade, and select the Free plan. Confirming that change is the cancellation — Calendly says your subscription switches at the end of the current billing cycle.

Does cancelling Calendly delete my scheduling links and booked events?

No. Switching to the Free plan is a downgrade, not a deletion — your account, event types and booking history stay, subject to Free plan limits. Deleting your account is a separate action under Settings > Profile, and Calendly warns that one is permanent and cannot be undone.

Can I get a refund on my Calendly subscription?

Calendly states that payments are generally non-refundable, as noted in its Terms and Conditions. Its cancellation article adds that the support team may review special cases, so a refund would need a support request rather than a self-serve control.

How do I stop a Calendly downgrade I already started?

Calendly says to click the banner in Settings > Billing to cancel the downgrade. Because the switch to Free only happens at the end of your current billing cycle, you have until that date to reverse it and keep your paid plan running.

How do I cancel a Calendly free trial?

Calendly's cancellation article answers this by directing you to get in touch with its billing team by contacting support — there is no documented self-serve trial cancellation. Do it before the trial converts, and keep the support ticket as your record.
