By email or phone — the routes that leave you a record
- 1
Email info@virginactive.co.uk, or call 020 8167 6480. Virgin Active's membership FAQ names both: "You can cancel your membership by visiting your Virgin Active club, calling us on 020 8167 6480 or sending us an email at info@virginactive.co.uk".
- 2
Give your name, your membership ID number, your home club and the date, and say plainly that you are cancelling your membership.
- 3
If you do not know your membership ID, Virgin Active says it is at the bottom of emails it sends you, or in the app under Profile and 'Manage account'.
- 4
Ask for written confirmation by email showing your end date and your final payment date.
- 5
Cancel personal training separately — Virgin Active says to "speak to the product manager in your club directly" for that.
- • Email is worth preferring over the phone and over an in-club conversation: it timestamps the date you gave notice, which matters because Virgin Active does not publish the notice period you are being measured against.
- • Its contact page also offers a request-a-call-back form at virginactive.co.uk/forms/contact-us and notes it is "currently experiencing a high volume of membership queries", so build in time rather than leaving it to the week your commitment ends.
