How to cancel Prodigy Premium

Prodigy does not currently brand a plan "Premium" — its paid plan is a Prodigy Membership, and it cancels online. Sign in to your parent account at prodigygame.com/parent, open Memberships, then Manage and Cancel. Benefits run to the end of the paid billing cycle. In-app purchases cancel through Apple or Google Play; refunds need a separate support request.

Keeps access until
The end of the current billing cycle — Prodigy states that cancelling causes membership benefits to expire at the end of your billing cycle and prevents future renewals.
Contract / fees
No minimum term, cancellation fee or written-notice requirement is documented. Prodigy's renewal and refund policy describes a term of one calendar month, 6 months or one calendar year chosen at purchase; the current membership purchase page offers monthly and annual billing only, so check which terms are on sale when you subscribe. Whichever term you buy renews at the end of that term unless you cancel before the renewal date. On naming: the product is a Prodigy Membership — Prodigy does not currently brand any plan "Premium"; Prodigy Math memberships are sold as named tiers and Prodigy English is a separate membership, so check the plan name on your receipt. Prodigy Math and Prodigy English are cancelled separately.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Parent account on the web

  1. 1

Log in to your Parent Account at www.prodigygame.com/parent using your email address — not your child's username and password

  2. 2

Select the Memberships button in the top-right corner (on mobile, tap the yellow Prodigy icon, or the three-line menu icon next to it, then Memberships)

  3. 3

Find the membership you want to end — Prodigy Math and Prodigy English are separate memberships — and select Manage under the correct one

  4. 4

Select Cancel, then confirm your decision

  5. 5

Tell Prodigy why you're cancelling, or simply select Cancel paid membership at the bottom of the screen to finish

Teacher account on the web

  1. 1

Log in to your Teacher Account at www.prodigygame.com/teacher

  2. 2

Select your name in the top-right corner, then choose Memberships from the menu that appears

  3. 3

Locate the membership you want to end — Prodigy Math and Prodigy English are separate memberships — and select Cancel Membership beside the correct one

  4. 4

Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your cancellation

  5. 5

On mobile, open the menu using the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner, select your email to expand the sidebar, then Memberships, then Cancel Membership beside the correct membership

Bought in the app on an Apple device

  1. 1

Prodigy cannot cancel or refund a subscription purchased through the Prodigy app on Apple — it has to be done on your device

  2. 2

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name to reach your Apple ID

  3. 3

Tap Subscriptions and select the Prodigy subscription

  4. 4

Cancel the subscription there, and contact Apple directly for help with a renewal or refund

Bought in the app on Android

  1. 1

On your Android device, go to subscriptions in Google Play

  2. 2

Select the Prodigy subscription you want to cancel

  3. 3

    Tap Cancel subscription

  4. 4

Contact Google directly if you need help with the renewal or a refund

Requesting a refund (separate from cancelling)

  1. 1

Note that cancelling alone is not enough — Prodigy states a refund will not be granted if you cancel without expressly requesting one

  2. 2

Submit a request at www.prodigygame.com/support, or start a live chat

  3. 3

Ask for a refund of fees paid for the most recent term within the documented window: the first 15 days of a monthly term, or the first 30 days of a 6-month or annual term

  4. 4

Approved refunds are issued only to the method of payment selected during your initial purchase; Prodigy states it does not pro-rate a fee once the window has elapsed

  5. 5

This process does not apply to memberships subscribed through the Prodigy app via Apple — take those to Apple

Expect a retention offer

  • A cancellation-reason prompt appears before the cancellation completes; you can skip it by selecting Cancel paid membership
  • Monthly members are offered a one-month pause as an alternative to cancelling, after which the subscription auto-renews until cancelled
  • Cancelling does not trigger a refund — a refund must be separately requested through a support ticket or chat, or it will not be granted
  • Prodigy Math and Prodigy English are separate memberships, so cancelling the wrong one leaves billing running

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Membership benefits stay active until the end of the current billing cycle, then expire
  • Future renewals are prevented, so no further charges are taken on that membership
  • Prodigy Math and Prodigy English are billed as separate memberships — cancelling one does not end the other
  • No refund is issued by cancelling alone; a refund has to be requested separately within the documented window
  • If the membership was bought in the app, it cannot be stopped from your parent account — it must be cancelled through Apple or Google Play

Refund notes

  • Prodigy documents a full refund of fees paid for the most recent term if it is expressly requested within the first 15 days of a monthly term, or the first 30 days of a 6-month or annual term. Refunds must be requested via a support ticket or live chat — Prodigy states that if you cancel without expressly requesting a refund, one will not be granted. Refunds are issued only to the payment method used for the initial purchase, and Prodigy states fees are not pro-rated once the window has elapsed. This process does not apply to memberships subscribed through the Prodigy app via Apple.

FAQ

Is "Prodigy Premium" the name of the membership I need to cancel?

Prodigy does not currently brand any plan "Premium" — the paid product is a Prodigy Membership, with Prodigy Math sold as named tiers and Prodigy English sold as a separate membership. Check the plan name on your receipt, and on the Memberships screen cancel beside the correct membership; ending one does not end the other.

Does a Prodigy Membership renew on its own, or do I have to buy it again?

Prodigy states that membership subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Renewal happens at the end of the term you chose at purchase, and the same payment method is charged for the same term and amount as the initial purchase. Cancel before the renewal date to stop the next charge.

I cancelled my Prodigy Membership — why hasn't a refund appeared?

Cancelling by itself does not produce a refund. Prodigy's policy says that if you cancel without expressly requesting a refund via a support ticket or chat, a refund will not be granted. Request the refund separately through prodigygame.com/support or live chat, within the window documented for your term.

Can I pause a Prodigy Membership instead of cancelling it?

Monthly subscribers can pause a membership for one month. Prodigy notes that membership benefits are unavailable during the pause period, and at the end of the pause the subscription auto-renews until cancelled. Longer terms are not documented as pausable.

My Prodigy Membership isn't showing in my parent account — where do I cancel it?

Prodigy says the membership was likely subscribed using another email address, or via Apple Subscriptions. Check the email address on your Prodigy receipt and sign in with that one. If it was bought inside the app, cancel it in Apple Subscriptions or Google Play instead, since Prodigy cannot cancel app-store purchases.
