How to cancel LiveOne

LiveOne cancellations are self-serve when LiveOne bills you: on a computer, open liveone.com/billing, sign in, then Manage Subscription, Cancel Subscription, Downgrade to Basic. Apple- or Google-billed subscribers cancel in that store instead, and carrier-billed ones contact the carrier. Paid time runs to the expiration date shown on the account page, and LiveOne states purchases are final.

Menus and labels can change. If the steps below don’t match what you see, use the official help link on this page.

Through the end of the paid period already purchased — LiveOne's account page shows the canceled status and the expiration date, after which the account returns to LiveOne's free ad-sponsored Basic service. Cancelling during a free trial ends the subscription immediately.
Contract / fees
No minimum term, early-termination fee or written-notice requirement is documented. LiveOne's Terms of Use at liveone.com/terms state that subscriptions automatically renew for successive billing periods of the same duration (for example monthly or annually) until cancelled, and that cancellation of a paid subscription takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period unless law or the purchase terms say otherwise.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel a subscription billed directly by LiveOne (card or PayPal)

  1. 1

Using a computer, go to https://www.liveone.com/billing (it redirects to the LiveOne account login).

  2. 2

Log into your LiveOne account. If the page shows a Basic subscription level, LiveOne's troubleshooting section says to check the original purchase receipt for the email address the subscription was bought with.

  3. 3

    Select Manage Subscription.

  4. 4

    Select Cancel Subscription.

  5. 5

    Select Downgrade to Basic.

  6. 6

Check the account page — it updates to show the canceled status and the subscription's expiration date.

Cancel a subscription billed by Apple

  1. 1

LiveOne's help center does not document Apple device steps itself — it only links out to Apple's own cancellation instructions.

  2. 2

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.

  3. 3

Tap LiveOne, then tap Cancel Subscription.

  4. 4

The LiveOne billing page will not show a cancel button for Apple-billed subscriptions.

Cancel a subscription billed by Google Play

  1. 1

LiveOne's help center does not document Google device steps itself — it only links out to Google Play's own instructions.

  2. 2

On your Android device, go to your subscriptions in Google Play.

  3. 3

Select the subscription you want to cancel (LiveOne).

  4. 4

Tap Cancel subscription, then follow the instructions.

  5. 5

Google also documents a Settings-app route: Settings > Google > your name > Manage your Google Account > Payments & subscriptions > Manage subscriptions.

Cancel a subscription billed by a phone carrier or other third party

  1. 1

Check your original purchase receipt to see who bills you — LiveOne names phone carriers and iTunes as examples of third-party providers.

  2. 2

Contact that company directly to cancel; LiveOne's help center says third-party-billed subscriptions have to be cancelled with the biller, not on LiveOne's site.

  3. 3

Afterwards, confirm your status on https://www.liveone.com/billing so you can see no further charges are scheduled.

Delete the LiveOne account (only after cancelling)

  1. 1

Cancel the paid subscription first — LiveOne states that deleting the account does not cancel a paid subscription.

  2. 2

Go to https://www.liveone.com/billing and sign in.

  3. 3

Select the link that reads "If you wish to permanently delete your account, click here".

  4. 4

Make the request from the email address associated with the LiveOne account — LiveOne says it cannot honor deletion requests sent from a different email address or LiveOne account.

Expect a retention offer

  • The final step is labeled "Downgrade to Basic" rather than a plain confirmation, so the flow only finishes once that button is used
  • The help article instructs subscribers to use a computer for the billing page, so there is no documented in-app cancel path
  • Deleting the LiveOne account does not cancel a paid subscription — LiveOne states the cancellation has to be done separately, first
  • No phone line is offered; LiveOne says support is chat and email only, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm PT

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • The account page updates to show the subscription's canceled status and its expiration date.
  • Paid time already purchased stays active until that date, then the account returns to LiveOne's free ad-sponsored Basic service.
  • Cancelling during a free trial ends the subscription immediately rather than at period end.
  • A charge can still land if the cancellation happened close to the billing date and the payment had already processed — LiveOne says to verify future charges on the billing page.
  • In-car LiveOne playback does not stop after cancellation — the account returns to the free ad-sponsored Basic tier and keeps working in the car as long as Tesla Premium Connectivity is active. Losing Plus/Premium reinstates ads and listening limits rather than ending in-car access.
  • The LiveOne account itself remains until you delete it separately from the same billing page.

Refund notes

  • LiveOne's Refund Policy article (support.liveone.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415471414299-Refund-Policy) states that all LiveOne purchases are final and that it does not offer refunds for ticket purchases, subscription purchases or subscription renewals; it directs users to cancel instead so access runs to the end of the subscribed period. Purchases made through Apple or Google are subject to those companies' refund policies, and LiveOne says to contact them directly. LiveOne's Terms of Use at liveone.com/terms add that it may issue refunds or credits at its discretion, case by case.

FAQ

Where do I cancel a LiveOne subscription that LiveOne bills directly?

LiveOne's help center says to use a computer, go to liveone.com/billing (it redirects to the LiveOne account login), sign in, select Manage Subscription, select Cancel Subscription, then select Downgrade to Basic. The account page then shows the canceled status and the expiration date.

Does deleting my LiveOne account cancel my LiveOne subscription?

No. LiveOne's help center states that deleting your LiveOne account does not cancel any paid subscription, and that you must cancel the paid subscription first. The delete link sits on the same liveone.com/billing page, and LiveOne says it cannot honor a deletion request sent from a different email address than the one on the account.

Will LiveOne refund the rest of my billing period if I cancel?

LiveOne's Refund Policy states that all LiveOne purchases are final and that it does not offer refunds for subscription purchases or subscription renewals. Cancelling stops future charges instead: access continues through the end of the period you already paid for. Purchases made through Apple or Google fall under those companies' refund policies.

I got LiveOne with my Tesla. Can I cancel it through Tesla?

No. LiveOne's help center says your LiveOne account and subscription are independent from the Tesla car and subscription and that it can't be cancelled through Tesla, so you cancel through your LiveOne account. Note that the subscription required for in-car use is Tesla's own Premium Connectivity data plan, which is what lets the Tesla infotainment system reach music services like LiveOne. LiveOne Plus/Premium is a separate music subscription that only removes ads and listening limits.

Why is there no Cancel Subscription button on my LiveOne account page?

LiveOne's help center gives two documented reasons. If your subscription level shows Basic, there is no paid subscription on that email address, so check the original purchase receipt for the right one. Otherwise the subscription may be billed by a third-party provider such as your phone carrier or iTunes, and you have to contact that company to cancel.
