• Suspension is marketed with $0 joining fees on reactivation — a benefit you forfeit by cancelling outright, since returning members normally pay a new joining fee.
• The cancellation page never states how long the required notice period actually is, saying only that "a notice period is required" and deferring to your General Terms Agreement, so you cannot time your exit from the help page alone.
• Phone and in-club cancellations route through staff who can present the suspension and Digital downgrade offers before processing termination.

Can I cancel my Life Time membership online, or do I have to go into the club?

Life Time's own cancellation FAQ lists "Online or In App" as the first option, alongside email and visiting the club, so an in-person trip is no longer the only route. Many third-party guides still claim Life Time requires certified mail or an in-person signature — that reflects an earlier policy. An online submission still counts as your written notice, and the clock starts when Life Time receives it.
