How to cancel Epic!

Epic! (getepic.com) cancels where you signed up. Website subscribers open Parent Dashboard, enter the parent password, then Account Settings, Manage Subscription, Cancel Subscription, and click past a save-offer screen to Confirm Cancellation. App Store and Google Play subscribers cancel in Apple or Google settings instead. Uninstalling the app does not cancel. Epic states subscriptions are in most cases non-refundable.

yes
Where to start
getepic.com — sign in, open the Parent Dashboard, enter your parent password, then Account Settings and Manage Subscription. If you signed up inside the Epic iOS or Android app, start in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings instead.
Apple or Google billed?
Possible
Keeps access until
Epic does not state an end-of-period access rule outright; what its cancellation article does say is that a web subscriber who wants the subscription cancelled immediately has to contact support, which implies the self-serve flow stops the next charge rather than cutting access off on the spot. App Store and Google Play subscriptions follow Apple's and Google's own rules, where access runs to the end of the period already paid for.
Contract / fees
No minimum term or early-termination fee is documented. Epic's help center lists two Epic Family payment plans, monthly and annual. Epic does not publish an explicit renewal-term statement in its help center, so check current pricing and renewal terms on Epic's site before you cancel. Plans and currency also vary by country and app store.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel an Epic! website subscription (desktop or laptop)

  1. 1

Log in to your Epic account at getepic.com/sign-in from a desktop or laptop browser.

  2. 2

Click 'Parent Dashboard' and enter your password when prompted.

  3. 3

    Click 'Account Settings'.

  4. 4

Click 'Manage Subscription' from the Account Status row.

  5. 5

On the next screen, under 'Your Subscription Plan', click 'Cancel Subscription'.

  6. 6

On the following screen you can either accept any special deals that are offered, or click 'Confirm Cancellation' to continue cancelling.

  7. 7

The next screen confirms the subscription cancellation. Epic's article notes that if you subscribed via a web browser and want the cancellation to take effect immediately, you need to contact Epic support through the help center.

Cancel an Epic! website subscription from an iOS browser

  1. 1

Log in to your Epic account at getepic.com/sign-in in a browser on your iOS device.

  2. 2

Tap 'Parent Dashboard' and enter your password when prompted.

  3. 3

Tap the 'Click here to manage your account settings' link.

  4. 4

Tap 'Manage' next to Account Status.

  5. 5

    Tap 'Manage Subscription'.

  6. 6

    Tap 'Cancel Subscription'.

  7. 7

Keep tapping 'Cancel Subscription' through the remaining prompts until the cancellation is confirmed.

Cancel an Epic! subscription billed by Apple

  1. 1

Open the Settings app on your iPhone (Epic's article documents this under the heading 'Cancel a subscription on your iPhone').

  2. 2

Tap your name at the top.

  3. 3

    Tap 'Subscriptions'.

  4. 4

    Tap the Epic subscription.

  5. 5

Tap 'Cancel Subscription' — you may need to scroll down to find it. If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already cancelled.

  6. 6

If you cannot find the subscription, search your email for 'receipt from Apple' or 'invoice from Apple' and check which Apple Account was used.

  7. 7

For refunds or if you cannot complete the cancellation, Epic directs you to Apple Support, since Epic states Apple does not allow it to cancel or refund subscriptions made through Apple/iTunes.

Cancel an Epic! subscription billed by Google Play

  1. 1

Important: Epic's article warns that uninstalling the app will NOT cancel your subscription.

  2. 2

On an Android device: go to subscriptions in Google Play, select the subscription you want to cancel, tap 'Cancel subscription', then follow the instructions.

  3. 3

On a computer instead: go to subscriptions in Google Play at play.google.com, click 'Manage' for the subscription you want to cancel, click 'Cancel subscription', select a reason within the confirmation pop-up, then click 'Continue'.

  4. 4

Note: you must be signed in with the account you used to subscribe to Epic.

  5. 5

Epic links out to Google's own 'request a refund from Google Play' instructions, and says that if you are unable to complete the cancellation or refund you should contact Google Play support.

Expect a retention offer

  • The web cancellation flow inserts a save-offer screen before the final step — Epic's own instructions say you can either accept any special deals that are offered or click 'Confirm Cancellation'.
  • On an iOS browser the flow requires tapping 'Cancel Subscription' repeatedly through several prompts before it completes.
  • The cancel control sits four or more screens deep, behind the password-gated Parent Dashboard, rather than on a top-level account page.
  • Cancelling on the spot is not self-serve for web subscribers — Epic says you must contact support if you want the cancellation to take effect immediately.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • The billing that was set to recur stops, so you are not charged for the next cycle.
  • Epic does not publish an end-of-period access rule; its cancellation article says a web subscriber who wants the subscription cancelled immediately has to contact support, which implies the self-serve flow ends future billing rather than cutting access off at once.
  • Epic states subscriptions are in most cases non-refundable, so a prepaid term is generally not refunded on the unused portion.
  • Uninstalling the Epic app does not stop billing — Epic warns about this explicitly for Google Play, and the same applies on iOS.
  • If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, the cancellation is recorded by Apple or Google, and any refund has to be requested from them rather than from Epic.

Refund notes

  • Epic's cancellation article states that in most cases subscriptions to Epic are non-refundable, and asks you to contact its support team if you think there is an error in billing. Refunds for App Store purchases must be requested from Apple, and refunds for Google Play purchases from Google Play; Epic states Apple does not allow it to refund subscriptions bought through Apple/iTunes.

FAQ

Why can't I cancel Epic! from inside the Epic app on my tablet?

Epic's help center says how you cancel depends on how you originally subscribed, not how you usually view Epic. If you signed up on the Epic website, cancel through the Parent Dashboard on getepic.com. If you signed up inside the iOS or Android app, the subscription is held by Apple or Google and has to be cancelled in their subscription settings.

I subscribed to Epic! through the App Store — can Epic cancel it for me?

No. Epic's Apple cancellation article states that subscriptions and payments made through Apple are managed by Apple directly, and that Apple does not allow Epic to cancel or refund subscriptions made through Apple/iTunes. You cancel in Settings on your iPhone under your name, then Subscriptions, then the Epic subscription, then Cancel Subscription. Epic points you to Apple Support if you cannot complete it.

Does deleting the Epic! app cancel my subscription?

No. Epic's Google Play cancellation article carries an explicit warning that when you uninstall the app, your subscription won't cancel. The same logic applies on iOS. You have to cancel in the store where you subscribed, or in the Epic Parent Dashboard if you subscribed on the website, and removing the app on its own leaves billing in place.

Can I get a refund for the unused part of my Epic! plan?

Epic's cancellation article states that in most cases subscriptions to Epic are non-refundable, so plan on losing the remainder of a prepaid term. If you believe there is a billing error, Epic asks you to contact its support team through the help center request form. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play must be refunded by Apple or Google, using their own refund request processes.

How do I cancel Epic! immediately instead of at the end of the billing period?

Epic's website cancellation article says that if you subscribed via a web browser and want to cancel immediately, you need to contact support through the help center rather than doing it yourself. The self-serve Cancel Subscription flow in the Parent Dashboard stops the next charge, so if you specifically want access shut off right away, open a support request.
