• Your submission counts only as a request until it is approved — the New York terms state that all paperwork is deemed a request until a Crunch employee can validate it, and a denied cancellation is mailed back with a reason.
• Crunch's FAQ answers "Is Crunch Fitness hard to cancel?" with "Not at all!" while directing you to stop by or call your home gym rather than to a self-serve cancel control.
• Online cancellation exists only at some clubs, so members who look for it in the Member Portal and find nothing have to restart through a different channel.
• The franchise agreement's notice clause accepts only certified mail or hand delivery to a manager, which pushes the request back into the club and onto a slower clock.

What happens after you cancel?

Access continues through the paid period — the recurring-dues agreement makes termination effective at the end of the Paid Period, and Crunch Signature members who prepaid last month's dues keep access until the last day of the following month.
Nothing is final until the club confirms it: Crunch's FAQ says a cancellation request has not been processed until you receive confirmation from your club.
Under the recurring-dues agreement, Crunch is not to charge your card or start EFT payments scheduled more than ten days after it receives your termination notice, and must refund a debited amount if the termination could not be processed in time.
Enrollment and initial investment fees are non-refundable after the rescission window, and a previously billed Annual Fee is not returned.
Crunch+ keeps billing separately — cancelling the gym membership does not stop it, and it must be cancelled on the Crunch+ website.
