What happens after you cancel?

Premium access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
No further charges are taken once the cancellation is recorded, provided it was submitted at least one business day before the term ends.
Your Brilliant account and course progress remain — cancelling Premium is separate from deactivating or deleting the account, which Brilliant covers in its own help article.
Brilliant's terms give no credit for the unused part of a period, so cancelling mid-term does not produce a partial refund by default.

Refund notes

Brilliant's Terms of Use say payments are nonrefundable: "There are no refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods." Any refund Brilliant issues is described as voluntary and at its sole discretion. How far ahead of my renewal date do I need to cancel Brilliant?

Brilliant's Terms of Use ask you to submit a cancellation request at least one business day before the end of your then-current subscription term to avoid being charged for the next one. Cancelling on the renewal day itself may land too late.

I subscribed to Brilliant inside the iPhone app — why can't I cancel on the website?

Apple handles billing for in-app purchases, so Brilliant's own Subscription Settings cannot stop that charge. Cancel through iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Brilliant and tap Cancel Subscription. Refunds for those purchases are requested from Apple, not Brilliant.

Does Brilliant refund the unused part of an annual plan?
