PureGym US documents two membership shapes. A monthly rolling membership can be cancelled online at any time with at least 7 business days' notice. A commitment membership carries a 1-year obligation period, and PureGym states that if you are in a commitment you may be required to pay a buy-out fee to cancel early. The article does not publish the buy-out amount — check your own agreement or ask Member Services before you start. PureGym separately documents an Annual Maintenance Fee applied in the second month of membership, currently $59.99 (plus taxes) at its New York and New Jersey gyms and $49 at its DMV gyms, and states that "if you joined our New York and New Jersey gyms when they were owned by Blink, your AMF may differ." Note also that blinkfitness.com now redirects to puregym.com/us, and PureGym's Blink transition FAQ (https://www.puregym.com/us/blog/puregym-blinkfitness-questions) states "The old Blink app stops working on August 20, 2025", so the app you originally joined through is no longer the place to manage the membership.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

If you have a monthly rolling membership (the standard online path)

  1. 1

Go to the PureGym US member portal at puregym-us.exerp.site and log in with your member account.

  2. 2

Select "My profile" in the top right, then choose the "Profile" option.

  3. 3

    Open the "My subscriptions" tab.

  4. 4

Press "Manage" on the subscription you want to terminate.

  5. 5

Follow the steps for cancellation through to the end.

  6. 6

Do this at least 7 business days ahead of your next payment — PureGym documents this as the minimum notice for a monthly rolling membership.

  • PureGym adds that if you are in a commitment (a 1-year obligation period) you may be required to pay a buy-out fee to cancel early.
  • If the online cancellation is not offered, PureGym's "Why can't I cancel my monthly membership online?" article lists the documented reasons: you are less than 7 days from your next payment day, you have a missed payment to clear in the Member's Area, you joined through a discount scheme, or you are a Columbia / Springfield / Tysons Corner member (https://www.puregym.com/us/faqs#/articles/why-cant-i-cancel-my-monthly-membership-online----fdf1643f-61bc-4673-bf6f-d00717525c7a).

If your home club is Columbia, Tysons Corner or Springfield VA

  1. 1

Do not use the online portal — PureGym documents a separate route for these three clubs.

  2. 2

Email us.member.services@puregym.com from the address on your membership.

  3. 3

State clearly that you want to cancel, and include your name and home club so Member Services can find the account.

  4. 4

Send it with the same lead time in mind: PureGym's stated minimum is 7 business days' notice for a monthly rolling membership.

  5. 5

Keep the sent email — it is your record of when notice was given.

  • PureGym's cancellation article names these three clubs specifically: "If you're a member of Columbia, Tysons Corner or Springfield VA, please contact us.member.services@puregym.com to cancel."
  • Its "Why can't I cancel my monthly membership online?" article repeats the carve-out: "If you're a member at Columbia, Springfield or Tysons Corner, you are not able to cancel online. Please contact Member Services to cancel."

If you are in your first 14 days, paid in full, or joined through a discount scheme

  1. 1

First 14 days: PureGym states members who are in their first 14 days of membership and want to cancel are entitled to a full refund, and to contact Member Services who will action it — email us.member.services@puregym.com.

  2. 2

Paid in full: PureGym states Member Services would need to action the cancellation for you, and that paid in full members are entitled to a refund of 50% of the pro-rata amount of the membership dues.

  3. 3

Paid in full in New York or New Jersey: PureGym states you may be subject to a termination fee of $60, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

  4. 4

Discount scheme: if you receive a PureGym discount through your workplace, health insurer, ClassPass or Husk, PureGym states you are not able to cancel on the PureGym website and would need to cancel through your discount provider.

  5. 5

Groupon: PureGym states that if you receive a discount through Groupon you should contact Member Services to cancel.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

The Manage button will not let me cancel — there is no cancellation option.

PureGym documents four reasons. You are less than 7 days from your next payment day (the option returns once that payment is taken). You have a missed payment, which must be paid off in your Member's Area first. You joined through ClassPass, Husk, a workplace scheme or a healthcare insurer, in which case you cancel through them. Or you are a Columbia, Springfield or Tysons Corner member, who must email us.member.services@puregym.com.

I cannot find a Blink Fitness login any more.

There isn't one. blinkfitness.com redirects to puregym.com/us, and PureGym's transition FAQ states the old Blink app stops working on August 20, 2025. Sign in at puregym-us.exerp.site instead, or use the PureGym US app.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • The subscription stops renewing once the cancellation completes in the portal, provided you gave at least the 7 business days' notice PureGym requires.
  • Verify it stuck by reopening the member portal at puregym-us.exerp.site under My profile > Profile > My subscriptions — the subscription should no longer show as renewing.
  • If you were inside a 1-year obligation period, PureGym documents that a buy-out fee may be required to cancel early; that is settled with PureGym, not waived by the portal.
  • If the portal would not let you cancel, PureGym documents the reasons rather than leaving you stuck — too close to your payment day, a missed payment, a discount-scheme membership, or a DMV club — and points those members to Member Services at us.member.services@puregym.com.

Refund notes

  • PureGym US's main cancellation article documents no refund and no proration for an ordinary monthly membership — what it documents is the notice requirement, at least 7 business days, which is the mechanism for avoiding the next charge rather than recovering one already taken. Two separate PureGym articles do document refunds. New members: "Members who are in their first 14 days of membership and want to cancel are entitled to a full refund" via Member Services (https://www.puregym.com/us/faqs#/articles/how-do-i-cancel-my-membership-in-my-first-14-days----71c2baa5-3505-4f07-9006-0b993c31fcf7). Paid in full members: "Paid in full members are entitled to a refund of 50% of the pro-rata amount of the membership dues. Members in New York/New Jersey may be subject to a termination fee of $60, which will deducted from the refund amount" (https://www.puregym.com/us/faqs#/articles/how-do-i-cancel-a-paid-in-full-membership----5d182aaa-99a3-491a-bb63-205d70c2a416). For a commitment membership, PureGym states you may be required to pay a buy-out fee to cancel early, so leaving mid-term can cost money rather than return it.

FAQ

Blink Fitness is now PureGym US — where do I cancel my old Blink membership?

In the PureGym US member portal, not a Blink one. blinkfitness.com redirects to puregym.com/us, and PureGym's transition FAQ states the old Blink app stopped working on August 20, 2025. Sign in at puregym-us.exerp.site, select My profile then Profile, open My subscriptions, press Manage on the subscription, and follow the cancellation steps.

How much notice does Blink Fitness (PureGym US) need before I cancel?

PureGym US states you must give at least 7 business days to cancel a monthly rolling membership. Business days, not calendar days, so a cancellation started late in a week needs more real time than it looks. Start the portal cancellation with that buffer ahead of your next payment date.

Can I cancel a Blink Fitness commitment membership early?

PureGym US documents that if you are in a commitment — a 1-year obligation period — you may be required to pay a buy-out fee to cancel early. The article does not publish the amount, so check your own membership agreement or ask Member Services what the buy-out would be before you start the cancellation.

Why can't I cancel my Blink Fitness membership online at my club?

PureGym US carves out three clubs from the online path. Its cancellation article states that members of Columbia, Tysons Corner or Springfield VA should contact us.member.services@puregym.com to cancel instead. If you belong to one of those, email Member Services rather than looking for a portal button that will not be there.

Does cancelling Blink Fitness stop my PureGym app access straight away?

PureGym US's cancellation article does not document an immediate cut-off — it documents a notice requirement of at least 7 business days on a monthly rolling membership. It also notes the option to cancel online disappears if you are less than 7 days from your next payment day, returning once that payment is taken. Confirm the change in the portal under My profile > Profile > My subscriptions once you have submitted it.
