Roku has two distinct subscription systems:
- Roku Channel subscriptions — services subscribed to through Roku's billing system (Roku processes payment)
- In-app subscriptions — services you subscribe to within a specific app (like Netflix), billed directly by the service
This distinction matters because only Roku Channel subscriptions can be canceled through Roku. In-app subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) must be canceled through the service directly or through Apple/Google if you use those platforms.

If you can't find a subscription in Roku's system, it's likely billed through the service directly — not through Roku. In that case:
- For iPhone users: Check Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
- Or cancel through the service's website
After Canceling a Roku Subscription
- Access continues until the billing period ends
- Roku emails a confirmation to your registered email address
- The channel remains installed but shows a "subscribe" prompt after the period ends
Log canceled Roku subscriptions in Gravity alongside your other streaming charges to see your true streaming total in one place.
