Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel Twitch Turbo on the Twitch website

  1. 1

Sign in to Twitch and open your Subscriptions Management page at twitch.tv/subscriptions.

  2. 2

Locate Twitch Turbo — Twitch documents it under "Other Subscriptions" on the Subscriptions Management page, and the Turbo guide also links directly to twitch.tv/subscriptions?tab=turbo.

  3. 3

Click the cog on the upper-right of the Turbo subscription.

  4. 4

    Select "Don't Renew Subscription".

  5. 5

On the next page, optionally choose a cancellation reason — Twitch documents that selecting a reason is optional and you can continue without making a selection.

  6. 6

Select "Don't Renew Subscription" again on that page to complete the cancellation.

  7. 7

Check that the subscription now shows a "Sub End Date" — that confirms the cancellation went through and tells you when Turbo benefits end.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • The subscription card stops showing a renewal date and instead shows a "Sub End Date".
  • Turbo benefits — ad-free viewing, the expanded emote sets, custom chat username colour, the Turbo chat badge and 60-day broadcast storage — continue until that Sub End Date, then expire.
  • No further monthly charge, provided the cancellation was made up to 24 hours before the Sub Renew Date shown on the Subscriptions page.
  • Twitch may share the cancellation reason with streamers in an anonymous, aggregated form; selecting a reason is optional.

Refund notes

  • Twitch's refunds page states that, apart from cancelling before renewal, "we do not offer refunds for recurring subscriptions (including channel subscriptions and Turbo) except in circumstances where technical issues impact the purchase or benefits relating to a subscription, where the purchase of a subscription was fraudulently made, or where otherwise required by law." Cancelling up to 24 hours before the Sub Renew Date is the documented way to avoid the next charge.

FAQ

Where is Twitch Turbo on the Twitch Subscriptions Management page?

Twitch documents Turbo under the "Other Subscriptions" section of the Subscriptions Management page at twitch.tv/subscriptions. The Turbo Overview and FAQ article also links straight to the Turbo tab at twitch.tv/subscriptions?tab=turbo.

Does cancelling Twitch Turbo switch ads back on immediately?

No. Twitch documents that after a successful cancellation your subscription shows a "Sub End Date", and you keep your current benefits until that date, after which the subscription expires and the benefits end.

How long before renewal do I need to cancel Twitch Turbo to avoid the next charge?

Twitch's refunds page states you may cancel existing subscriptions up to 24 hours before your Sub Renew Date — which is shown on your Subscriptions page — to avoid being charged for the next renewal period.

Will Twitch refund the current month of Twitch Turbo if I cancel part-way through?

Twitch documents that it does not offer refunds for recurring subscriptions, naming Turbo explicitly, except where technical issues affected the purchase or its benefits, where the purchase was fraudulently made, or where otherwise required by law.

Do I have to tell Twitch why I'm cancelling Twitch Turbo?

No. Twitch documents that selecting a cancellation reason is optional — if you do not wish to share one, select "Don't Renew Subscription" on the cancellation page without making a selection.
