How to cancel Qobuz

Qobuz cancellations happen on the web: sign in at qobuz.com, open the "My Streaming Plan" tab on your profile page, click Unsubscribe for your active subscription and follow the instructions to the end. Qobuz's terms require notice at least 48 hours before your period ends. Streaming runs to the period end, with no refund for the subscribed period. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are cancelled through Apple.

No minimum term, lock-in period or early-termination fee is documented for Qobuz streaming plans. Qobuz's General Conditions of Use and Sale apply the same termination clause to every streaming offer (Premium, Studio and Sublime, Solo/Duo/Family); the cited help article does not itself distinguish monthly from annual plans. Both monthly and annual plans renew at the end of each period unless the customer unsubscribes, and annual plans are prepaid for the year and run to the end of that year once cancelled.

Step-by-step cancellation

These steps only appear when the flow was verified against an official provider or platform source.

Cancel on the Qobuz website (billed by Qobuz)

  1. 1

Sign in to your account at qobuz.com.

  2. 2

Go to your account on the qobuz.com website and open the "My Streaming Plan" tab (Qobuz links this to qobuz.com/profile/).

  3. 3

Click the "Unsubscribe" link of your active subscription.

  4. 4

Follow the instructions for unsubscription until this has been completed — Qobuz's wording is to continue "until this has been completed".

  5. 5

Send the notice at least 48 hours before your current period ends; Qobuz's terms say a later notice only takes effect at the end of the following period.

  6. 6

Watch for the confirmation e-mail — Qobuz's terms say receipt and acceptance of the cancellation is confirmed to the customer by e-mail.

Cancel a Qobuz subscription billed through Apple

  1. 1

Qobuz's help article states that if you subscribed using a third-party application (it names Apple), cancelling the account must be done directly through their service — Qobuz links out to Apple's support page and documents no steps of its own.

  2. 2

The remaining steps come from Apple, not Qobuz: on iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name at the top.

  3. 3

    Tap Subscriptions.

  4. 4

    Tap Qobuz in the list.

  5. 5

    Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

  6. 6

Streaming continues until the end of the period Apple has already billed you for.

Cancel a Qobuz subscription billed through a third-party app store (Google Play)

  1. 1

Qobuz's terms state: "If the Customer has taken out a trial period or Subscription, paying through a third-party application store, termination of the contract or Subscription must be made through the application store." Qobuz does not name Google Play specifically and documents no Google steps.

  2. 2

The remaining steps come from Google, not Qobuz: open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon at the top right.

  3. 3

Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

  4. 4

    Select Qobuz.

  5. 5

Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

  6. 6

Streaming continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Expect a retention offer

  • Qobuz's help page tells you to "follow the instructions for unsubscription until this has been completed" — it is a multi-step flow, not a single click, so leaving mid-flow can leave the plan active.
  • The 30-day trial requires a valid payment method up front and converts to a paid plan unless you unsubscribe before the billing date.

Common problems

Only official-source troubleshooting notes are included here.

What happens after you cancel?

Post-cancellation details like access, downgrade behavior, and refund caveats are shown only when the provider documents them.

  • Streaming stops at the end of the current paid period — cancelling does not cut off access immediately.
  • Qobuz states your account will always be available along with your library; only the streaming service becomes unavailable.
  • Qobuz's terms say receipt and acceptance of the cancellation is confirmed to the customer by e-mail — keep that message.
  • If the cancellation notice is not sent at least forty-eight (48) hours before the period ends, Qobuz's terms say it only takes effect at the end of the following period, so the plan renews once more.
  • No refund is issued for the remainder of the subscribed period.

Refund notes

  • Qobuz's General Conditions of Use and Sale (Article 11) state that for streaming subscriptions "no request for withdrawal, cancellation or refund will be admissible for the subscribed period," and that streaming customers waive the standard 14-day withdrawal right on accepting the terms. No pro-rated mid-cycle refund is documented; access simply continues to the end of the period already paid for.

FAQ

Does Qobuz really have a 48-hour deadline before my renewal?

Yes. Qobuz's General Conditions of Use and Sale say a cancellation "will only take effect at the end of the current subscription period, provided that the notification thereof has been sent at least forty-eight (48) hours before the end of the period." Miss it and the plan renews for another full period. Note that Qobuz's trial help article quotes 24 hours instead — the two pages disagree, so treat the stricter 48-hour deadline as the one to hit.

If I cancel Qobuz, do I lose my playlists and my library?

No. Qobuz's cancellation help article says "your account will always be available along with your library" — what stops is streaming, at the end of the current period. You keep the login and can resubscribe later, though you will not be able to play the streaming catalogue in the meantime, so export anything you want to move to another service before access lapses.

Will Qobuz refund the rest of my month or year if I cancel early?

Qobuz's terms are explicit that for streaming, "no request for withdrawal, cancellation or refund will be admissible for the subscribed period," and streaming customers waive the usual 14-day withdrawal right. There is no documented pro-rated refund. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep streaming until the period you already paid for runs out.

I signed up for Qobuz inside the iPhone app — why is there no Unsubscribe link on qobuz.com?

Because Apple, not Qobuz, is the biller. Qobuz's help centre says that if you subscribed using a third-party application (it names Apple), cancelling must be done directly through their service, and links out to Apple's own support page. Cancel it in iOS Settings under your name > Subscriptions > Qobuz. Qobuz's terms extend the same rule to any "third-party application store" without naming one, so if you subscribed on Android, cancel under Payments & subscriptions in Google Play.

How do I cancel the Qobuz 30-day trial without being charged?

Qobuz offers a 30-day trial, one per customer, and asks for a valid payment method up front — it says you will not be debited before the trial ends. Unsubscribe from the same "My Streaming Plan" tab before the billing date. Qobuz's trial article says cancelling at least 24 hours ahead avoids the charge, but its terms specify 48 hours, so allow the full 48.
